Q: I just finished applying it to a new deck and it appears really dirty where people walk. What do I do?

My house is part of a condo association and they applied this product to my deck a few years ago and I couldn't walk on it for six weeks. I finally had the entire deck sanded and Australian Timber Oil applied again by an independent contractor which came out beautifully and was trouble free. I have since applied it myself several times and have never had a problem. It sounds to me that it is not being wiped soon enough after it is applied which will create problems. I like the product and plan to continue using it.

Q: There are two versions of this product, one is water clean up, the other is oil based and paint thinner is used for brush clean-up. Which version?

Paint thinner would be used for water-based clean up, and mineral spirits are used for oil-based clean up. Water-based products will hold up better in humid or climates that get more rainfall. Oil-based products will hold up better in dry climates.

Q: Does the Natural have a matte Finish?

This product is not a matte finish .I would describe it as a semi gloss I have used it for several years on my deck ,it is by far the best product I have found .
