Although this review is a year late, I can only say that the water change kit does exactly what it says it does. I purchased the kit with the longest poly tubing so I could use my garden hose since none of the faucets close to my aquarium have a compatible spout although the kit comes with different adapters. In addition, the longer tubing also allowed me to siphon the water out to my garden plants rather that dumping it down the drain. The most significant feature is the ability to switch from siphoning to reversing the flow and putting water back into your tank just by turning the ball value.My kit was purchased in 2020 and as mentioned, it did well for the several water changes I performed up until this review where the siphon part (T-shaped piece) snapped off when attempting to snug up the hose fitting. Totally my fault as I may have overtightened the fitting. Having mentioned that, I offer a word of caution about doing the same if you plan to purchase this kit. Do Not Overtighten the connections! The unit is plastic.Most importantly is what happened after the part broke. Being after a year of use I didn't think that this unit would be under warranty but I sent Hygger an email offering to purchase a replacement. To my surprise, they responded almost immediately and unbelievably I received a replacement in the mail the next day (email sent Friday, replacement received Saturday) free of charge.I think it is needless to say this water change kit offers alot of bang for the buck and with a customer service experience I had (of course YMMV) I am extremely happy with it.

I got a huge fish tank a couple years ago, and have diligently changed the water one bucket at a time each month. I recently moved to a new home, and the faucet is much further away from my tank and all the hassle of moving the buckets out two doors was enough to make me not want to keep my beautiful fish. So on to Amazon I went... At first I was looking for a sucker that had a super long hose so that I could just put the end of the hose out the doors into my yard. Which would solve one of my problems. But a simple search brought me to the Hygger Bucket Free Aquarium cleaner. I read the reviews and was almost immediately sold. So I purchased the product, it arrived to my home super fast. I used this for the first time last week, and let me tell you, THIS PRODUCT IS A GAME CHANGER!!!!! I'm actually upset that I didn't look for a better product sooner lol. It was easy to set up and seriously took less time to do a 80% water change then I have ever done. I really liked that my fish weren't upset by pouring water in from the top of the tank. If your on the fence about ordering this, this is your sign to jump off the fence and buy it.

Extremely easy to use, the extra long hose means I don't have to worry about buckets and the spicket connector helps with rapid cleaning and refilling of the tanks.

Good product, made well, I like it a lot. The price is fantastic compared to other brands and I feel this product is just as good if not better than the others. I have been using it for over 6 months now.

Set it up as per directions. Would not vacuum or suck water out. Pretty frustrating as I was hoping it would be a decent product by Hygger. Unfortunately I was wrong.

Update: I bought this siphon around 2 years ago maybe less I don't exactly remember. So it worked good at first, the lever on the tube part broke after around 5 uses, it leaked so it didn't suction as it did before. About 6 months later the piece that attached to the hose from the sink part broke and I glued it on but eventually it sprung a leak to. And literally got water all over my kitchen because it was shooting out like a sprinkler. The piece that attached to the sink with the also broke. Overall this thing is delicate and breaks really easy I had a python one for like 10 years that I never had any issues with at all. I would definitely recommend getting the brass attachments for the sink. The part that goes in the aquarium also warped over time the tube piece. I'm pretty disappointed with this product. It should definitely last longer than a year and a half to two yrs. I just ordered a new one that has brass attachments so I know they'll last longer. This thing gave me a headache. Buyer beware and be very gentle with this delicate siphon.I honestly like this product the only complaint I have is the lever on the siphon, the lever on the side broke off i rigged it back on but I just no it's going to break off for good at some point. And I'll have to rebuy that peice. I've had the thing less than a month so that's kind if a bummer. Other than that it works good and the hose plenty long enough. I would recommend this product just be really careful with the levers on the thing.

This took some trial and error with differing threadedhose adapters to make it hook up to my unusual sink. But I LOVE IT! No more hauling big oamd of water back to the tank, dripping along the way! No more struggle! The fact that it can simply backwash clean perfect temp water through the hose means I can empty 1/3 while cleaning, add water back in, and take it halfway down for round 2 of gravel cleaning, then fill it up one last time and be DONE, with 0 mess and 0 strain at all! It means I won't put off the water changes like I have been. With things made so easy, I can do the job in 1/3 the time and will do it more often, leading to a cleaner tank with healthier critters!
