Not the coffee for me.
To be clear I am not taking off more than two stars only because I did not make this coffee according to the instructions. I used a French press and am lactose intolerant so I could only drink it black. I can see how this would have had somewhat better results following the instructions.I didn't like the charcoal-like taste of Starbuck's very dark Italian Roast or French Roast which have a comparable darkness level to this coffee. The grounds smelled a bit staler than they actually were and the final pot was very bitter, but drinkable. When making my second pot of this, while scooping grounds into my grinder I noticed that the grounds were fairly unevenly roasted, with some burnt black, some light brown and a few still green. That would have been ok but I also found several roasted twigs in that bag, which I have never seen in any other coffee. I decided then I was going to throw out the two bags, but determined to get some value I hand sorted an entire bag for more suitable beans and made a pot with it. Although it was OK, it was hardly worth the effort, and my hands will smell like coffee for a while, lol.I would still recommend this for someone feeling adventurous and who actually likes extra dark coffee and is prepared to make it in the Vietnamese style.

Great Coffee & Great Customer Service
This is excellent coffee and the customer service was fantastic. What I didn't understand prior to ordering was that this coffee is conducive to a traditional vietnamese brew. Though I plan to try brewing it this way sometime, I prefer the taste of robusta brewed in the traditional western way.The first time I brewed it in my french press - I was disappointed. I did my usual arabica method: 4 minutes 30 seconds at approx. 175 degrees fahrenheit. After a few rounds, I found that brewing it in a french press for 9 minutes 30 seconds at the recommended 194 degrees fahrenheit (stirring once or twice) brought out all the qualities in the robusta bean I enjoyed. Adding a bit of butter while it brewed also tasted great. When I need another batch I'll be sure to order again.

So, Here's my honest review. Good coffee. P{lease stop with the emails.
Finished my last batch of another brand today and got around to grinding beans for Farmer's Blend. ...Also got around to answering their barrage of emails wanting feedback. Okay, I understand...startup company...needs a better footprint.Good coffee. Made in drip machine, not a press. Filled the house with nice aroma. Has robust flavor. Does the job. Slight oily aftertaste. But that is easily dispersed by sweet creamer.I recommend it. I'll buy more. But, I'll add it to the short list of coffees I rotate through.

If you really enjoy coffee, try this stuff.
For the outstanding flavor and the powerfull caffeine effect, this is now my favorite coffee. Wow this stuff has a strong caffeine content. The coffee is so smooth, one would never suspect how powerful it is... then you start feeling it and it hangs around awhile. No bitter after taste with this one, just a smooth flavor you will continue to taste well after drinking it.Okay, I guess I don't get the whole star rating thing. The coffee doesn't judge itself so why should I rate it? This is good stuff though, and you would be remiss if you are a coffee lover and don't try this.

Enjoyable coffee
I didn't know what to expect when I ordered. I just ordered a Chemex style coffee maker and want good coffee. This coffee fits the bill. It is great tasting. I have been drinking coffee for 50 years and this is the best coffee I have had. It is smooth and strong tasting but has a woody taste. My new coffee maker has something to do with it too. This coffee was shipped fast and it sealed tightly in a bag. I am very satisfied.

Just didn't do much for me, but others liked it.
I love coffee and like trying new blends and strains. This Viet Namese coffee looked interesting, My wife thought it was good, the In-Laws visiting for Thanksgiving liked it, but I didn't. I thought it tasted a bit burned and/or smoky and I won't buy it again. But 3 of four people liked it, if this was an election poll Hillary would be president. It's reasonably priced, so you can see for yourself.

I learned how to brew it in a wonderful upscale restaurant called Kim Son.However, I must say that you your fine coffee is the best Vietnamese coffee I have tried!
