Talens Art Creation Sketchbook White 21X29,7 cm, 140 Grams

I have to write this review again because amazon deleted my first one, hah... If I miss any crucial details I apologize. But I really do like this sketchbook! As a tiny objects enjoyer this is definitely up there with cuteness. It's the tiniest and cutest sketchbook I own and it's very good quality :) I love that the paper is a little on the thicker end (not too much so, but noticeable compared to other sketchbooks I have) And the paper doesn't warp too bad when you use watercolor. It did warp at first when I did the light wash of pink on the first drawing, but dried to be fairly flat which surprised me! It also handles gesso very well too, which I used for the pony drawing. I put a couple layers on because the crayola markers I was using weren't working super well as watercolor... Watercolor markers MAY not work with this sketchbook, as it doesn't have the same effect as it would with say a canson sketchbook, sad... But you can fix this problem with a layer or two of gesso, and it won't warp or anything like that. I did test a page with alcohol markers, and they did bleed through. If you want to use alcohol markers in this sketchbook I would recommend using a layer of gesso, taping the pages, or just skipping the bled-through page altogether. Overall a very nice portable sketchbook, I really like the color of it and the toned pages as well. Not something I've had before, but it's a nice touch! I can't wait to bring it with me when I start my classes again :)

Love this little sketch book. It's small so I can carry it with me often. Nice thick, good quality paper that doesn't bleed through. Great for drawing with pencils or pens. I use my to do Zen tangling.

Excellent sketchbooks. They open flat and the paper is smooth and can take some light water media. Work very well with crayons, pencils, colored pencils, and various inks. Highly recommended. I use these daily. However, they should be shipped in a box with the corners protected. Mine arrived with light shrink wrap in a plastic mail sleeve that was taped nicely around them. (I purchased 5) The gray plastic shipping cover did not protect the edges and corners. I’m not sure how this could be remedied since there is no way to communicate about proper shipping containers. But since we are reviewing the books themselves I will give them a very enthusiastic five stars.

These Art Creation sketchbooks are wildly popular for a reason: somehow the thin, smooth, presumably cellulose paper accepts almost any media, including gouache and light washes of watercolor. The small pocket-sized version can be taken virtually anywhere, and they include a generous amount of paper. While not ideal for watercolor, I've used mine for watercolor, watercolor pencils, ink and gouache and the paper has responded with minimal buckling or warping. Great product!

Cute little sketchbook that I keep in my purse. I mostly use it for quick pencil sketches but the paper works well with ink and gouache too and I've done some watercolor washes on it as well. It won't hold up to heavy wet media use but it's fine for sketching and very affordable.

Ive had this sketch for 1 month and 4 weeks, it’s still in great condition. The binding gets a little loose but so far all my pages are still in, it works great for water colors and acrylic paint pens I mainly use pencil tho. I’ll definitely be buying more of these! The durability is amazing my cats chewed on it multiple times and u can barely tell!

Zunächst war ich skeptisch, da ich noch nie von der Marke "Art Creation" gehört habe und außerdem dieses Produkt keine Rezension hatte. Ich bestellte es mir jedoch und bekam ist schnell geliefert. Als ich es in der Hand hielt war ich erstaunt, es fühlt sich sehr hochwertig aus, besonders schön ist, dass auf der Rückseite das Logo "Art Creation" eingestanzt wurde, was ein sehr nettes, unauffälliges Detail ist. Zum Papier selber: Angegeben, wurde das es Aquarell und Tinte aushält. Ich hab nun verschiedene Wasser- und Aquarellfarben ausprobiert, aber noch nicht so viele verschiedene Tinten. Wasserfarben hält ganz okay aus, bei zu viel Wasser wellt es jedoch ganz leicht, was jedoch für mich persönlich überhaupt kein Problem ist, da ich viel schlimmeres Papier gewohnt war. Was Tinte angeht, habe ich einige auf Tinte basierende Stifte getestet, da ich noch nie wirklich mit flüssiger Tinte gearbeitet habe, kann ich da kaum etwas sagen. Fineliner und ähnliches drücken auch wenn man einige Male drübergeht überhaupt nicht durch, jedoch Marker und Filzstifte scheinen auf der anderen Seite dann doch durch, was aber ebenfalls nicht weiter tragisch ist, da das Produkt nicht behauptet hat Markerrobust zu sein. Wenn man ein Papier zwischen die Seiten legt, lässt sich aber bestimmt das Skizzenbuch auch mit Markern dekorieren. Insgesamt schönes festes Papier, und ein tolles Skizzenbuch, und der Preis ist auch völlig in Ordnung! (Natürlich ist alles sehr subjektiv geschildert, ich bin keine Professionelle Gutachterin, die ganz objektiv die Qualität wiedergeben kann)

My absolute all time favourite sketchbook brand as an artist. Paper is thicka and butter smooth. It's just perfect.

Love these sketchbooks! So underrated, seems it is gaining traction with artists tho lately. Paper color is great a bit yellow but not as much as the Moleskine ones. As for bleed resistance it's pretty good for pencils, pens, inks acrylic markers but alcohol markers it bleeds thru so be mindful of that. All sizes are awesome depends on how you use your sketchbook. It's quite sturdy and if it's in a smaller size it's easy to carry around and sketch outside.

J’adore ce carnet où je peux dessiner et peindre le papier est suffisamment épais pour cela. Je suis ravie de mon achat et je le recommande. En plus le carnet est conforme à la photo et la description et le papier de qualité pour moi c’est parfait. Il est suffisamment petit pour tenir dans mon sac à main pour que je l’ai toujours avec moi et la taille est même un peu plus grande que les carrés de zentangle que j’utilise donc vraiment c’est tout à fait ce que je recherchais.
