I've been using this with my new Zoom H1n since I got it, and often times in very windy settings (the beach in particular). This works marvelously, as expected. The fit is perfect and the elastic has just the right about of grab. Other than it being quite large on my little recorder (my kids refer to it as my "chinchilla"), it works like a champ at muffling wind noise.

Its a little weird looking - like a bad hair-day in a future white house. But it works great and fits my H1 perfectly. This is a must-have accessory, and the price is definitely right. You might be a able to get one for a couple of bucks cheaper, but you also might have to wait for several weeks to get it.

It's now possible to get usable sound outdoors with your H1, which is super sensitive to light breezes. The dead cat also makes it possible to get closer for voice-overs. My sense is that the proximity effect is slightly attenuated. Must-have audio accessory for the budget-minded or occasional shooter.

Item doesn't match their pictures or pictures of other reviewers(theirs looked the same as description), and does not work very well. In my house I tested it with a light breath and it sounded like wind noise, it would be horrible outside on a windy day.

Good thing i looked to tracking because we now having 60 mile hr gust winds and it wouldve blown down street..lol but all in all it fit great no my recording will be static,wind proof. s always Amazon delivers great product,perfect timing,and prices.
