Depending on the light, they may work perfectly fine or not at all. I don't have the original Rocketbook ones, but I guess the color is slightly different. Also, they are not durable; after only taking them out of the bag several times, they already look worn out. To me, they are too pricey; I cut the same ones from orange cardboard, and they work the same (except they don't have the magnet).

They work like the real ones. One set of 4 is the larger size and the other about 1/3rd the size. They both work on a fairly large dry erase board 36 x 24 (I believe) but the smaller is more finicky with taking the picture.

I like the smaller size beacons, and the options they present in capturing materials. Note that the smallest size does not have much magnetic attraction.

Worked as intended, no complaints

I bought these to compare with the original, and although you do get a good value in the mini and large size beacons. They do work as stated with the rocketbook app. But the difference is that these are a thin magnet, whereas the originals are not. Some ppl say you can also use orange post it notes..but these do magnet to the white board, where the post its would need to be affixed somehow. I would recommend these, as they are easy to carry in a notebook case, they work as stated, and are a good value bc you get both the large and the mini sets.

The day a new coworker introduced me to Rocketbook will be a life changing day in my personal history. I was already a huge fan of the FriXion pens. I am a research & project manager, adjunct professor finishing my PhD. I also have a creative side to me, love to write & staring to publish. At work I am lovingly called the “documentarian” by my coworkers. If I’m not the one drawing in the white board, I’m the one transcribing it. Thank you for creating an ingenious way to efficiently capture whiteboard work or digitizing what is on paper while saving trees. I promote this product to everyone I know. I even bought my director a set of beacons for Bosses’ Day.

I use the little beacons for a small white board. They work really well with the phone application. I also bought the official beacons with a little pouch. They won't stick to my white board without peeling off the backing or applying magnet squares. They also take up a lot more space on the white board than the little ones.Would really love to see this product come back to Amazon.

I wasn't sure they would work, being off brand and all, but at the time of this review, the rocketbook app treats the like the genuine article. It lets me scan a copy of a whiteboard into the app and automatically send it where ever I need. And at a significant discount!
