Rhetorical Theory: An Introduction, Second Edition

I am currently a graduate student studying rhetoric and composition, and this is a really stellar introductory text to exploring all things rhetorical theory. They cover a lot of the major perspectives on rhetorical theory, while acknowledging that there is still more to learn as you get down into the works of the primary sources that they are referencing. I really enjoyed reading and studying this textbook.

It's an intro text, so it won't be as theory-heavy and tough to get through as some of the others out there. Recommended for higher education.

I didn’t like that the cover was different then the picture. But the content and all chapters are the same

Good and informative

It appeared to me that this was one of the newer editions. It is not. It works, but it is not what I thought I was getting.
