So much in such a short book
If you’re looking for clarity about the fear of the Lord, this book will be invaluable for you. Michael Reeves breaks this concept down so concisely that when you finish a section it’s like a light bulb just turns on. What a blessing for people who get stuck on this idea of fearing the One who loves us unconditionally and lavishly. Powerful Little Book
This may be a small book but it is powerful, challenging, and encouraging. I found myself rejoicing and thinking of the implications of this truth. Well worth the read and soon I will buy the full edition.

Outstanding in enlightening on the fear of the Lord
For years I questioned and pondered, what does "fear of the Lord" mean? It is obviously very important to God that I would fear Him, so how do I do that? Should there be a fear as of danger? How can one simultaneously love God if you fear Him? This concise summary of his full-length book defines, explains, and describes what is the fear of the Lord. It is grounded on Scripture, not the author's opinions or feelings. It deepens understanding of this essential heart toward God. Thanks be to God for telling us in His Word how to love Him!

If you already own Rejoice and Tremble, you do NOT need this book too
Five stars for the book, but three stars for the way Amazon presents this series as it mixes "concise" editions with full versions of the same book. If you already own Rejoice and Tremble in the Union series, there is no need to buy this book too! Though you'd never know it from Amazon's description, this book is a "concise" edition of Rejoice and Tremble. Amazon should create two different "series" lists for Union to ensure that people do not accidentally buy both. Alternatively, a short note in the description and book title that says this is a concise edition of Rejoice and Tremble would be better than nothing as it is now. I can't return the book as it is a Kindle edition and I discovered a day late that this is a "concise" version of the book I already own. I prefer full editions as I like to dig deeply into subjects so I would have passed on this one had I known. PUBLISHER: Get Amazon to change these listings so the concise editions are clearly marked.

Encouraging and Edifying
This book has been a great blessing to me and I can’t wait to let others borrow it. The book breaks down how other words like “reverence” and “awe” don’t fully incapsulate the entire meaning of the FEAR OF THE LORD we are supposed to have in Christ. This book has encouraged me to commune with the Father in His Word and in prayer!

Brief, clarifying, and spiritually refreshing
The little book refreshed my love for God recently. It explores an often-used phrase in the Bible and uncovers how and why "fear" can be either good and beneficial or sinful and harmful.

Important question, very good answers in the book
Throughout the Bible we are told to "Fear God", but throughout life we are told that "fear" is a bad or unhealthy emotion. How do we reconcile these two points of view. This book unpacks what the "Fear of God" truly means, and how this perspective leads to healthy and eternal outcomes.
