Simply the best!
We had a hamster a few years ago when my children were very small, and used another brand of cage with the tunnels you can connect. (You know the brand) It was so cheap and flimsy, and just not at all well made. This cage and this brand puts the others to shame!! So well made, very well thought out design that makes for easy cleaning, virtually escape proof when it's put together correctly, and EXTREMELY STURDY. No cheap plastic feel here! And what's even better, is that it doesn't cost anymore than the other cages in your local pet stores. We bought this cage (the Habitrail Cristal) and the Ovo Tower with den to go with it. Wonderful. In fact, we purchased a 2nd cage and tower to connect the 2 together to give our Fancy Teddy Bear hamster (Brownie) some more room to move and roam! The only thing (very tiny thing) I had an issue with is that the instructions are a little....um....remiss... They are picture illustrations that don't give you a very clear idea of what to do, but not to worry! It's actually very simple to put all of this together, the only thing you will need to know is this;1- when you put the locking connectors on the tubes to connect them together, put the tube end into the connector and then TWIST the tube. This engages the locking mechanism and makes the tube not pull away from whatever you are connecting it to, be it the cage or another tube segment.2-to attach a tube to the cage (this is the part that had me so frustrated) find the "window" which is the orange cap that you put on the cage if you aren't attaching any tubes. Separate the orange cap from the clear ring that is attached to it, you need to put the clear ring thru the hole in the cage from the inside. This will allow you to attach a tube. It doesn't say that ANYWHERE and looking at the orange cap at first glance, it doesn't look like it is 2 pieces!! Maybe this will save you from my frustration! Lol!Other than those things, putting everything together and taking it apart is so, so easy! My kids can do it by themselves to clean the cage and they are 9 & 10!! Which is great for Mom, because that means I don't have to stop what I am doing to help! Also, the wheel that comes with the cage isn't too noisy, although the cage is in my 10 year old sons room, and to be honest he could sleep thru a hurricane, so maybe you best judge that one for yourself! Lol!Your furry friend will love this cage! It really is simply the best!!

Hamster-Approved Cage
We've had Tiko, our family fancy hamster, for the last 2 years in this cage. She absolutely loves it. We have purchased the den, tubes and other places for her to hide and sort her goodies in. The attachments work well enough and do not come apart when properly attached. The best part about the tubes and cage is that it can come apart easy to clean each piece! Our cat did push the cage off of the counter and the clear bottom part cracked, but it still fits onto the base and is fully functional. To fix the slippery base of the cage, we make sure we have that rubber counter/cabinet liner underneath. That fixed the cat pushing the cage down problem. If the base had rubber booties on the bottom, that would have been smarter, but nothing is perfect, I suppose. The wheel is pretty quiet, but a little crisco inside the wheel part that connects to the cage works wonders. Our hamster doesn't care for that extra shelf that comes with the cage, though. I put her treats up there just to get her to explore it. There are treats you can buy that hang, which works well on the top bars of the cage. The cage is well ventilated, too. The very bottom of the cage isn't ventilated to protect our hamster from drafts. They don't like them too much. All in all, I would certainly buy this type of cage over and over again. Excellent pet-minded product (and it looks good, too).

Favorite cage so far!
I actually purchased this way back in June of 2015. I wanted to wait and see how it held up and review it later, but forgot about it until now!I've had a few different cages over time, and they were all a PAIN to clean! One of the main things I was looking for in a new cage was something that'd be easy to clean, and this cage definitely fits the bill! It's SO easy, you just take the clear top part off (which doesn't ever put up a fight! There's a spot on each side that you push in & then it picks right up!) and from there you can just dump the shavings from the bottom tray part in the trash. SO easy!It came with accessories, which was nice. I had the loft in for a while, but ultimately decided to take it out. The ramp to get up there kept falling off and my hamster would climb up the bars to get to her loft, which I didn't like because I'm overly worried about her falling. So I put in a little house I already had and it works just as fine! Everything else it comes with is great. The wheel is nice, and definitely the quietest one I've had but it's not silent by any means. The only thing keeping me from giving this a full 5 stars is the size. It's much smaller than I was expecting, and I really wouldn't recommend it for a syrian/teddy bear hamster. I have a teeny-tiny little robo hamster so it's not too bad, and I take her out often to run in her ball or play in her playpen. Other than that, it's perfect! Nice looking, good quality (there are barely any signs of wear after having it for so long! My hamster doesn't chew her bars though) affordable, and easy to clean! If you're into tubes there are 2 separate spots for them. I'm not sure of the size but I bought tubes from a different brand and they fit nicely & weren't overly challenging to put on.I included some pictures for reference. -Size of the food bowl, which is so big my robo has to sit inside of it to get her food! -How the cage looks once it's set up. -And a panorama of the inside. (Which is why the wheel looks messed up)
