Great product
This stuff is excellent for stopping your puppy/dog from eating it's poo. The best said we'd never break our 5 year old rescue from it but after using this for a month she stopped. I have recommended it to others.

I suppose it works as stated, but...
So, I think that I can safely assume that this product does indeed make the poop taste terrible. However, it really backfires because, as I sort of suspected would be the case, it also makes the food taste terrible. So, it just teaches the dog to choke down the product in order to eat their dinner, which would only accustom them to the taste and I don't see how it could be an effective deterrent overall.I think that it could work quite well if the dog is eating poop later, but in my case, I pick up all poops immediately. My dog was pooping, turning around and immediately eating it before I could get it scooped up and thrown away in the trash (or flushed down the toilet). But if your situation is different from mine, and you can sprinkle this product on poop to prevent the dog from eating it later on (in which case it seems easier to just pick up the poop anyway), then this could be an effective deterrent. But apart from putting it into capsules and feeding it to the dog that way, I don't see how feeding it to the dog orally would deter them from eating poop later with the product in it. I actually did consider getting some empty capsules and doing just that, because I do think that could work quite well. She really was obviously choking down her food with the product sprinkled on it as directed, so the taste is obviously quite awful. But teaching them to tolerate that taste seems counterproductive. And sort of mean.

For-Bid for Puppy or Adult Dog Stool Ingestion
For-Bid for puppy or adult dog stool eating. I tried this on my dog. It is easy to apply in easy to use measured packets and the taste was not offensive to my dog, all things considered! It was ineffective fr my dog in the month I used it. Don't know if it takes longer to work systemically on them, bt on vets advice I switched her diet for more nutrition in her diet and immediate pick up at every bowel movement outdoors and she seems to have outgrown this habit as she gets older.

This stuff works
Have a two month old puppy that ate her poop. Vet recommended this. Simply sprinkle on their food and after a few days she stopped. If she starts again, repeat the process. Very pleased with the results

Worth trying!
I purchased this on recommendation from my vet because my puppy would eat our other dogs poop. I gave it by the directions on the package. I can’t say it was 100% effective but it did seem to make him a little less interested in it for the most part. I caught him one time eating it instead of numerous times as it had been.

3rd box and still on going
We are on our 3rd box and she still hasn’t stopped eating poo. We do pickup as soon as she poops, even installed security cameras inside the house to make sure everything is picked up as soon as possible. But when we aren’t fast enough, she still goes for it. How much more boxes do we need to finish?

Look at Ingredients! PLEASE be careful with this and ask your Vet 1st!!🛑
I will preface this review by saying that my dog Cupid, has had ongoing stomach issues since I got him from the Poodle rescue in September 2023. He was on a prescription diet for stomach sensitivities , and he started eating poop. I ordered For-Bid, thinking it was safer than the internet’s suggestion of “ meat tenderizer “ !Guess what this is…..MEAT TENDERIZER in the form of MSG,& wheat gluten ! Well, 2 doses in one day, ended in a hospitalization all yesterday, and cost $1755 . I don’t want my dog eating poop. It’s a revolting habit, but I will never again try anything not prescribed by a Vet, for anything. My dog lost 4 lbs in 12 hours. He went from 33-34 lbs, to 29.4 pounds. He could have died if he didn’t receive immediate medical intervention. This reaction is probably not what the average dog would experience, but if you have a dog who is prone to diarrhea, bad stomach, anything, PLEASE ask your Vet first! My Vet had never even heard of this product. I am so sad that I tried to fix this problem on my own. It cost me $1755, & could have taken my 17m.o. dog out completely.
