KameBi-shi Koikuchi (Koikuchi) soy sauce 900ml

This soy sauce is the real thing, made in the traditional way.

There was this segment on a Netflix show Salt Fat Acid Heat that features Yamaroku soy sauce. I ordered it from Japan via Ebay several years ago... expensive but so good. You can now get it here on Amazon for $3.60 an oz. On a whim I wanted to try less expensive alternatives... and with incredible luck I landed on this. It costs less than half per oz, and is about 90% as good. This is a no-brainer to me. It's thick (concentrated... a little goes so far!), rich, complex... the real deal. Just brush it on some chicken and grill like they did on that show, and you've got an incredible meal with only one flavoring. An insanely good soy sauce empowers you so much in the kitchen, if you can even come closeto justifying spending this much on soy sauce you will not regret it. This quantity will last you ages.
