It works a treat
Nothing to dislike. Very easy to use and set up. Nicely equipped with bits. Versatile for fitting almost any normal pole. Liked the easy fill idea and water being the most convenient to fill it with. Only downside I can think of is that the top of the tube where the pole exits is wide open to ingress of rainwater and if you have a wooden pole it could potentially rot from standing in static water in the tube. So I have sealed it round the top edge with duck tape and hope that will keep the wooden pole dry. Otherwise it's really good and worth 5 stars. It does the job intended very well.

Good but difficult to empty
This is a big heavy stand, but only once filled. Otherwise it weight nothing.I got this one because it has threaded pole retainers, most have only a push fit.My only issue with it is the placement of the filler hole. Where it is makes it very difficult to empty.

Easy to use. Enables parasol to turn in a breeze.

Heavy
Bought this for a large square parasol that my previous cast iron base couldn't hold in the wind.I've not yet put the parasol up, as typically we've had no sun since, ha ha. However, we have filled it with sand and it will definitely be heavy and large enough to do the job.Top tip, we bought play sand from a very popular toy store at a fraction of the price that other retailers were selling it at.

Details not clear on diameter of parasol pole this will take
Maybe it’s me but on ordering, the range of pole sizes this will accommodate from the product details was far from clear so I thought that with the inserts my 350 mm pole would fit but it’s too small so the two screw nuts would not tighten up to secure it in place. This being the 3rd base I’ve purchased I’m losing the will to live so rather than return yet another I found a workaround using some sturdy cardboard tubing as a further insert so it will now stay in place with the screws tightened. Product description could be clearer I think. The product itself appears sturdy enough although not tried out yet. Here’s hoping!

Blowin’ in the Wind… but surely shouldn’t be
I was attracted to this base as it weighed in at a decent 25kg when fully filled so I guessed it would be sturdy enough to stableize our large garden parasol. It is fine until you get a breeze blowing up and then the brolley gets into a rocking rhythm and will eventually topple the whole thing and almost certainly if the brolly is set at an angle . I can live with this and the product is quite well made and looks impressive. Maybe would work better with sand than water .
