This thick fabric material is ideal for providing protection against punctures or other damage to EPDM, PVC or rubber pond liners. In addition, this geotextile fabric has many other uses, from retaining walls to even roofing!

Thicker than I imagined
This is the first time I’ve used this type of underlayment in my pond. It was very easy to move around and to cut. I was surprised how thick it was! I use the leftovers to create some small marsh areas around my pond. It allows the water to flow through but not the dirt. I will order again when I make the pond larger

This is no average landscape fabric
This is the real deal. More like a blanket with regard to strength and durability! I'll be getting more of this for my yard which needs water/gravel mitigation

Underlayment that you need for rocky ground
We have an extremely rocky yard and there are 10 stones for every scoop of soil. The underlayment not only provides an excellent base for your pond but I also acts as a great buffer from sharp rocks or any other obstructions that may cause damage to your liner. Highly recommended for those with Stony Terrain.

was scared I was paying for a big sheet of something similar to weed barrier but I was pleased to see this was more like a heavy felt
first liner style pond I'm building. was scared I was paying for a big sheet of something similar to weed barrier but I was pleased to see this was more like a heavy felt. See no reason this would not keep rocks or other objects from puncturing liner. shipped on time.

Five Stars
If you don't want roots to eventually puncture your liner, get this.
