Stanley Tools and Consumer Storage STST19502 Metal Box with 2 Drawers, 19"

I don't really have a need for tools at the moment but DO have a crap tone of paint suppliers for painting miniatures. "So i thought to myself "Kraken, You have a crap tone of paint supplies man. you should store these some where." So after hours of searching the google with no luck for decent paint storage it was time to think outside the tool box. Hopped onto the Amazon and searched Storage Boxes, Got a bunch of recommendations for giant bins but then this beauty showed up! Man, This thing can hold SOOoo many paint supplies! And i really love the locking feature too! If the top lid is closed then the 2 doors remained locked until the lid is opened again, it makes traveling with my paint supplies easy peasy! Its also a very solid and sturdy build. my guess is it would probably work for tools too if thats what you would want to use it for, to each their own.

It's a great little tool box, added it to my crash cart at work. I work on machinery and it holds my sockets for impact and ratchets pretty well. I removed handle to just use the box and made a mount for it to attach. Only grip I have is, the lock eyelet is plastic. But the rest of the box is metal. Addition of a metal hasp will suffice, but c'mon simple pair of wire cutters or utility knife could be used to open it.

The box is very nice, convenient, well made. What really impressed me is that they sent this toolbox and when it was opened (it was new) the latch inside was in pieces, just parts of the latch laying inside the top shelf. I let them know and requested to return it and have them send another one but instead, they shipped me a new one immediately!! No need to return the one that didn't work. (I don't know what to do with that one yet ???) Anyway, the tool box was a gift and it is perfect. Thank you so much!!!

I really wanted to like this box, there aren't many like it at any price and it would have been perfect.To begin with, I was sent a unit which looked as though it had been returned before. It was scuffed up big time on the bottom as well as in the drawers, and the box had double tape all over it.Had it not been for the fact it doesn't sit flat and wobbles badly I might have kept it anyway, but the wobble would have drove me nuts. The drawers don't slide particularly well, they seem like they're binding; all of which suggests the box is warped. From looking on other reviews for this item, this appears to be a common issue.Conversely, had it not been scratched up so badly I probably would have tried loading it with tools to see if the box sat flat with some weight in it, and then I would have kept it. I did try putting some weight on top of the unit, but it still wobbled.All of which is sad, because the features of the box are nice. It's a great size and seems well built outside of the warping issue. The full-length handle is sturdy and moves completely out of the way when you need it to. There's very little plastic on it unlike the cheaper boxes, and the size is just right for portability with two drawers instead of three; I find the three drawer units end up top-heavy and tend to fall over. The whole unit looks nice too.

The carrying handle got broken about the third time I tried to lift it up. Now is very difficult to move this heavy box full of tools.

I love that it allows access to my tools without digging through a bunch of stuff or having to lift out a tray. The handle is great and provides a secure way to move it when needed and is out of the way when not. The latch locks the drawers and can be locked. Nice job Stanley.

Toolbox was warped right out of the box. Only planned to use it for a desktoo csbinet so added a chair slider sticker to the warped side and now is level. Disappointing but not worth returning and going through the hassel. Not the quality i expected.

Great size for household tools. Drawer locking mechanism is a little finicky, but overall I am very happy with this purchase. It’s bigger than the standard small tool boxes but still small enough to easily stow in a closet.
