Live Vengeance '82

Great show from the Vengeance tour!
First off I am a massive Judas Priest fan so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I was inspired to pick this up after having a conversation with my Dad about the Screaming for Vengeance tour, he saw Priest on this tour literally a month and a half after this concert was filmed but always said he regrets not being sober at the time so he could remember more. But he remembers all the pyro and Rob coming out on the Harley. So I picked this up one so we could take a trip down memory lane and two because the Vengeance tour is pretty infamous. Its totally worth it to catch them in their absolute prime because we truly never will get that back. This is when Heavy Metal ruled the world, and Priest were and still are the Metal Gods. The band sounds great here, like always Robs voice is incredible, Glenn & KK's guitar work is awesome. Ian Hill is always a boss, and Dave Hollands drumming was essential aspect of what made Priest popular in the 80s. Of course not knocking Scott Travis, he is an essential part of how Priest reinvented their sound in the 90s. ROCK ON AND PICK UP LIVE VENGEANCE 82!

5-star concert performance, by one of heavy metal's best bands
Excellent sound quality for the time. Video solid as well considering it was shot in 1982. One of the best quality concert videos of the time AND a capture of a hard rock band in peak form. Nothing is off here. Vocals, guitars, bass, drums all assault your senses, and make you wish you could be there in person!I'm not sure if there is even an interview on this disc. It's a performance, when people performed on instruments and couldn't get a redo, and DIDN'T NEED ONE! It's also a great cross section of Judas Priest's best songs, somewhat later career but at an optimal point when they were experienced and not yet slowing down.I think most heavy music fans are savvy to this recording, but if you're not, trust me, it's good. I'm often bummed by older concert footage bc the audio quality is usually not good, but this is an exception.

What an amazing show.
The media could not be loaded. One thing to be aware of is there is some flashing lights in the beginning and somewhere in the middle. So if you're sensitive to flashing lights there you go. Other than that, it's an amazing show to own on DVD

Superb rock / metal concert that’s as good as live!
I love this concert! Some of it is sentimental...it was my first rock concert ever. I grew up 2 minutes from the Mid South Coliseum in Memphis. My uncle camped out at Piggly Wiggly to get great seats for us. I had no clue this was being filmed for a live release that night. I was just blown away by attending my first concert by one of my favorite bands! The acoustics in the Coliseum are well known for being great, and loud rock shows would cause a tile or 2 to fall from the ceiling during a show...and it happened during this one too. So glad this show was caught on video. Still have my concert shirt from this show too.

Keeping the Faith
Judas Priest performing live will never be what it was during the span of 1979-1982. I saw them 5 times between '80 and '85... two of the times; once in 1980 and once in 1982 I was front row center stage in San Bernardino, CA! ...I could literally touch Glenn Tipton's or KK Downing's high top tennis shoes when the bouncer barricade gave way and collapsed up against the stage at one of the shows. Judas Priest put on incredible high energy shows like no other show I have ever been too and I've seen over 100 including Metallica and Ozzy w Randy Rhodes! This Judas Priest Live DVD is the only good reference to those Priest days and WELL WORTH IT if you want a piece of true, early 80s heavy metal action!! Judas Priest `delivered the goods' when it came to live performances. This is a must see for any heavy metal fan... new or old! Keep the faith!!

Great Band, Great Show
This is a real good concert and I must admit the performance is really top! What is great about this DVD is that it is the original lineup at his very best. The energy of the band is fantastic. I was too young to go to the show at the time. I was 12 years old. It is a real treat to get to see a full concert of the Vengeance tour 30 years later! If you are into Priest, you MUST get this DVD. If you like Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, then you have to get this DVD. I saw Priest live a couple months ago and they are still a fantastic band eventhough KK has left them. I have the greatest respect for bands of that caliber and this live is a testimony to one of the all time greatest metal bands at their very best. LONG LIVE PRIEST!
