A well built powerhouse
I had a cheap headlamp that just didn’t put out enough light. I bought this one to help in a rehab of a building with no windows or electricity. This headlamp is amazing. It is powerful and the battery hasn’t failed me yet. I really like the ability to focus the beam and tilt it to where you need it. You can also adjust the intensity of the light. All the controls are easily adjustable. The battery pack adds some weight to the light but the harness that holds it is very comfortable. I sometimes forget that I’m wearing it. The light is solid, exceptionally bright, and comfortable. I’ve been using it for months and I’m very glad that I have it.

Dependable high quality.
Professional quality. Very well made. Powerful bright light that has selectable settings and is further adjustable within settings, as well as the ability to focus from wide angle to beam. Pricy, but worth it for the quality and capabilities.

Great Illumination!
I have the continuous series of LEDLenser Headlamps - always looking ahead to the ultimate design. Battery capacity, design, ergonomics, controls, lumens all excel in the H15R. The only drawback is the 'lack of spot beam' in adjustment. Previous LEDLenser headlamp lens designs go down to a sub 10 degree spot beam but the H15R only goes down to a 'narrow flood' beam of +20 degrees, a very diffused wide beam for a 'spot'. It will be great for certain applications.

work horse head lamp but...
If all you need is the lamp... no problem. Should you need an extension cable or battery belt clip leads to much aggravation/ frustration! Also very specific things like the range of light using the rotating knob... Does it reach the full 2500 lumens and stay there for a time or can this only be reached by the "boost" which only lasts for a few seconds? Amazon and vender descriptions graphically show that the focus ranges from a "spot" to a wide angle of light when in reality it remains a "wide angle" even in the "spot" focus mode with a greater intensity of light towards the center. In other words yes there is a narrowing of a portion of the light beam but a "halo" of light throughout the wider angle range. If I were to compare to a light with a lower lumen rated lamp but capable of focusing nearly all the light into a narrow beam the light intensity within the "spot" area might be equal or even greater than a much higher lumen rated light which lacks the technology to create a true "spot" beam! I opted for this model claiming 2500 lumens only because I hope to get enough light intensity within the "hazy spot" area than I would with similar Ledlenser lamps with 1000 lumens max output.

Amazing with a few flaws
This is an amazing quality designed product, no doubt. This is the most sophisticated headlamp iv ever had, all the way to the magnetic charger. Best beam patterns and tons of brightness too. That being said, I was highly disappointed when I found the adjustable focus to be nearly impossible to turn. It's almost like there was no to little lubricatuon whatsoever inside the ring mechanisim. It wouldn't even go fully in, unless I held it there for a few seconds. Otherwise it would pop out again. Second, the up and down adjuster was super resistant, and I mean hard hard to adjust. Both adjustments took two hands. In the line of work, and in general, I find that infuriating and definitely a manufacturing defect. Any qc would of caught that. I returned this one (the base red strap) because the shortcomings made it basically useless. It's sad when everything else was amazing. The beam pattern, brightness, waight ballence, adhustemt range (when I could turn it) and comfort was outstanding. I still haven't revived that return payment as of 25 days now, just to be aware) I upgraded to the work version and still found the up and down was rather stiff. But the beam adjustment was smooth as can be. I finnaly found out that the clear rubber peice behind the front strap provides the tension to move it up and down and hold it in place. (not the best design imo. But it is removable and replaceable. I took that out and and now I can adjust the lamp up and down flawlessly without any effort and the light stays where I want it. It's like a new headlamp and perffect now. I highly suggest you take the clear rubber peice out to see if you like it more. The work version has its own issue, but I can live with it. When I adjust the lamp up and down it hangs on the brightness adjustment knob and adjusts the brightness slightly either way. When I adjust it up, it will up the brightness, and same with adjusting down. It's a supper bummer but worth it imo, especially when Amazon is so stingy about there returns now.
