I am learning to facet. These are a wonderful size to start with and have good clear center to work on. Excellent buy for me.

My purchase arrived on time, but with very poor color. Density only 2.6+. I DEFINITELY DID NOT RECEIVE "TOPAZ".I am very disappointed with my purchase. I feel as though I have been decieved....on rhe upside the material (whatever it is) does facet and polish well.

I tested it in this shows to be real material, for the price it’s a decent price, I would probably buy again on this material.

A simple specific gravity test will reveal these are not topaz. They also don't have the same deep colors as the images suggested but I dont mind that so much. After the specific gravity test and a quick hardness test, my best guess is these are citrine. That said, I absolutely love the stones. As a fledgling lapidary, these are perfect for practicing cutting cabachons. Most of the rocks I got are somewhat cloudy but there are a few with amazing clarity. At the end of the day, they are some pretty cool rocks, though not topaz.
