This Book is Both Brutally Honest and Graphic in its Depiction of the Tragic Scenes
This book is an important contribution to the paranormal literature. It is truly horrific in its graphic descriptions and brutal honesty.G.L. Davies style of interviewing the victims and relating the story in their own words provides true depth and realism. The reader can feel the extreme emotions and distress as the victims recount their stories in simple and revealing testimonies. The supernatural is never easy to deal with because of its abstruse nature but Davies investigates the whole drama with sensitivity allowing the victims to tell their stories honestly. The telling of the stories by the victims must have been both traumatic and partially cathartic for themselves. The scenes experienced by the son Tyler and Lisa's boyfriend were truly horrific. The scenes seemed to be designed by the evil entity to cause the most trauma and distress to these victims. The ongoing rape of Lisa by the evil entity is also designed to cause ongoing trauma and isolation. I pray and hope that all the victims in this story will find true liberation and peace. There a lot of paranormal manifestations happening in our physical dimension which are truly inexplicable and disturbing. I admire people like Davies who tackle these paranormal cases sensitively trying to bring peace and resolution to the victims.

Truly terrifyIng.
4 Stars for the author, Mr. Davies, 5 for his work as a whole. It could have used a tad more editing, but the story and the people involved is quite chilling. It's the most believable paranormal study I have ever read, horror is pretty much my main literary diet. I've always been a sceptic, it's just for my perverted entertainment value. So I'm a little twisted, most horror fans are I think. Mr. Davies has presented this poor woman's account in such a way, it rings true. I read the book he refers to that is similar accounting, "The Entity", that claimed to be true back in the 70's, but was not convinced. Don't want to be a spoiler. This has altered my opinion. I just need to see something first hand to synch the deal. If this is actually true, (non-fiction),,,,condolences to the family, and kudos to the researcher. I read A Most Haunted House. It brought me to read this. I recommend both. Keep up the good work Mr. Davies. Thank you.

Truly Frightning!
Very frighting, to say the least! It's one thing to see a spirit, in whatever form they want you to see. But it is another thing to be physically raped by a spirit. How can you wrap your head around that? It is terrible to have that happen to you by a flesh and bone attacker. But there are no one you can turn to for emotional support when the attack is a non-living being. I good read, just long enough to tell the whole story, short enough to keep the story moving and interesting. Scary enough to send shivers up your spine.

Fantastic
This book is superbly done and unlike others I have read on the subject. I love the way the case is put forth as a series of interviews as it helps you become invested both in the accounts and the people telling them. Most books regarding paranormal activity that are written by investigators just basically give you the story and then say we did this investigation and this is what we found whereas this one left you to decide for yourself as to the validity of the story. I will be recommending this book to everyone I know with an interest in this subject and also be checking out the website. I have always been a firm believer in the afterlife and have had many experiences myself thank God none have ever been like theses.

Interesting Stuff
Interesting book on an interesting topic, although many questions remain unanswered, e.g. how did the mother know the ghost was her daughter's ex-husband and why she was okay for her daughter to be continually raped by the ghost, ex-husband or not. Also, more analysis by the author at the end would have been useful, perhaps the author could have explored the connection to incubi/succubi as described in Sinistrari's classic work on the subject, Demoniality, from 1680. Nonetheless, worth the purchase.

Wow! I can't Imagine This One
As far as the story goes this one was the most disturbing read I've had in reading in this genre. I've read a number of them now but this one hits home a bit too much. I can't imagine this being real but since I've not been there to either prove or disprove this myself I will go under the assumption that it can be true. If it is, this one really is the most weird and hard to swallow.

I Guess...
Although I Appreciate a Good Ghost Novel, This Wasn't As Good As I Expected it To Be.

Very open
I don't know if I believe the story, and the warnings are true about the crudness. It's not a bad read but I have trouble believing that a spirit can be intelligent enough for sex but nothing else, like to communicate for example. It just seems odd and I haven't really heard of these types of hauntings. I did think the psychologist had a plausible explanation but I'll leave that to the other readers to decide.

A interesting read
I found this book very interesting and addicting read. The main story in the book I couldn't put down once started. Goes to show that more of this stuff happens more than people realise. But through shame of the person suffering its often is kept quiet. The only thing what annoyed me was when an expert comes in from a profession for their view on what's taking place. They pass off any supernatural activity that has or is taking place. They then try and replace it with their unproven theories and that then becomes the truth as to what is or what has taken place.

The Terror!!!
This is a darn awful story if true, much worse the The Entity or a least how it was portrayed. There are many stories like this but this is better written than others I've read. It keeps you gripped to find out what happens but really you know how it turns out on each page. This is definitely a good book for research purposes.

Brilliant
This book is terrifying and shocking and not for the faint hearted. It really asks the reader to question their beliefs in the supernatural and it's ability to interact with us, whether you're a firm believer or not you need to read this book with an open mind. 99% of books I read are based around the paranormal in some way (both fiction and non fiction) and I'm not easily spooked but reading this really set my mind working overtime and actually made me terrified for the main subject and her ordeals. I would recommend this to anyone that is wanting to delve into the really dark side of hauntings and really looking to question whether the darker side of the paranormal is fact. I would have given 5 stars but I would have liked the book to be longer and more in depth, other than that it's a very interesting read.

brilliant from start to finish well written and if the story is true then my god how awful. the story is very explicit but to tell the story it needed to be else you wouldn't be able to grasp what the horrific torment this poor woman went through.it seems very odd to enjoy a book knowing someone had to suffer to tell the story .

If you have read A Most Haunted House then you will be familiar with the authors style of writing (if not why not!?) from the start the style of writing has you hooked and wanting to know more. Whether you believe or not the book will leave you asking so many questions after reading such graphic accounts of events throughout the book, not only the events but how they effect those involved. After the main content of the book being so dark I also enjoyed the bit that makes you wonder if we all really do have a 'soul' mate ...... as with A Most haunted House once I started reading I didn't stop til I got to the end ..... well written and very thought provoking ...looking forward to more of the same!!
