Compared to my good PS audio Power Port installed in a dedicated 10 AWG line it gave clearly better soundstage, better instrument separation, more clarity, more treble sparkle and more tight bass. In the cons side I lost a little of the punchy bass. The timbre and the detail of the midrange was remarkable. It has shown more extension but trends to the bright side (in comparisson), not fatiguing at all. Have compared at the same side Oyade R0, R1 and Ps audio outlets, all of them as good for different reasons. Furutech is the more "hifi-ish" sound.Strong recommended for the right system!Seller shipped fast.Tested with tube preamp and SS amp.

I've gotten really focussed on power supply to my hi-fi rig over the last few months, and so of course I eventually landed on the outlet itself. Swapping whatever fifty-cent outlet I had before (1952 house...) with the Furutech made an immediate and appreciable difference in sound quality. I got the mounting plate (recommended) and carbon fiber cover (maybe unnecessary) too, so it was kind of expensive for a minor tweak, but it was worth it. Definitely get the GTX-D receptacle even if you don't go for the rest of the frills.

A truly great product producing a quieter background, greater separation of instruments and voices, better base and most important a more organic, realistic sounding presentation. A big improvement over the GTX. Very highly recommended.

In my 35+ years of being an audiophile and collector of high-end gear, I have never been as shocked by the improvement of a tweak. I've always used hospital-grade outlets, and even upgraded ones from PS Audio and Pangea. Nothing prepared me for this. The sonic improvements outperform even those of adding a good power conditioner. In fact, it's along the lines of getting a new preamp that costs 3x what your previous one did. Instrumental separation, deep and wide soundstage, black black black backgrounds, and sweet instrumental timbers. I'm not sure what kind of magic this thing is doing, but I can't recommend it highly enough! Money well spent.

It does what they say and it is really a major improvement in your full sound system, for sure, BUT it really takes 500 to 600 hours of intense use to really brings the better sound. And it is really 500 to 600 hours, not a bit less. And you have to stress them with some power through it. But it is amazing change at the end. Oayde R1 or R0 are much faster results, a little worst than Furutech, but easier to get there.

Over many years, I've continued to refine my system; better speakers, cables, tubes, etc. At this point, it's pretty revealing. Along the way, I've learned that everything matters.When I installed the new GTX-D NCF(R), I expected a modest improvement. Well, I was pretty surprised; this is a "great leap forward."To look at, it's built like a tank, so it should outperform the junk installed in most every home, and does it ever.It seemed expensive, but given that the results are commensurate with a major amp upgrade, it now seems like a bargain.If you've invested more than a few thousand into your stereo system, you need this.

Truly a HUGE difference in the dynamics and clarity of each instrument! I will be buying more! Outstanding product!!!

On the recommendation of Charles, I bought this outlet. Everything he said is true. I got the outlet and the cover. Made a very discernable positive difference. Quieted the background, crisper highs, snappier lows and all that other stereophile jargon. It really does improve the overall listening experience. If it doesn't for you all I can suggest is stop shopping at Wal-Mart!
