Hamstick Mag Mount
I bought this mount to use with ham radio HF hamsticks to a mount on my vehicle's roof during portable operations (POTA or deployments). Works well for my needs. The magnets are really strong, but I don't keep it mounted permanently ... I only attach it after parking. It comes with an SO-239 connector, so I had to also buy an adapter for the hamstick to work. I'm happy with this option. It's easier for me than a permanent mount on my truck.

Antenna will stay on the truck at high speeds.
I have a big 6 M antenna in the middle of my truck hood I can go 80 miles an hour down the highway and not have to worry about the antenna falling off great mount to have.

I made a mistake to not recognize this SPECIFIC item had the wrong mobile antenna connection (I was looking for the standard 3/8" threaded stud version). This was to be a second mount for an additional antenna. That was the only reason I sent it back and obtained a credit to my account. These 3-magnet mounts are VERY sturdy, just be sure to verify the connector needed when ordering.

Strong, non-scratching magnet
This antenna mount looks like it would hold an antenna a fairly long length at highway speeds easily. All three magnets have rubber boots that cup each. This helps prevent it from sliding and scratching vehicle finish when applying and removing. Just make sure the antenna connector matches the type found on the mount or an adapter will be needed.

STURDY FOR THE LARGEST ANTENNAS
For me, this is the most functional, practical approach to mobile communication. One mobile antenna mount for any mobile antenna I want to put up. The build quality is very good. No sharp metal edges & the paint is thick. The magnets are bcincredibly strong! I read other's reviews about moving it after it grabs a surface. I'm glad I listened to them. The mount comes with much appreciated soft rubber feet to protect your cars finish. Make sure your magnets, rubber feet, and surface of your car are perfectly clean before installing.

Very good mobile antenna mount (ham, CB, GMRS)
Mobile antenna mount for ham radio operation (and, I suppose, CB & GMRS as well). STRONG MAGNETS! Good quality, seems durable. Do not put anything between the mount and the car roof (like a mylar sheet, paper, etc.) as this will defeat the magnetic strength of the mount. Ask me how I know!
