Very well made. Seems like a painted metal that should not rust or fade ( time will tell). Great size and tray leaves extra length to space out each pot so plants have room to bush out. Only concern is drain hole is a bit small. But so far so good plants seem happy after a few days. If concerned about soil staying too moist, maybe add additional pearlite for additional aeration. Note: Color is a yellow toned cream. Definitely not a pure white and would be very obvious if out next to a pure white It works next to my “white” blinds though.

I like to keep a few most used herbs in my windowsill to use as I'm cooking and this set is perfect! The tray is a perfect size for my approx 5" windowsill space. It feels very stable there. I'm so happy the pots have drainage holes and the fresh herbs sold in pots in the produce section of our grocery store sit right down in these without even actually having to transfer/plant. I recently redid my kitchen and worried the color of these might not be bright white enough to coordinate nicely but they're a really neutral white and blend perfectly. I am so happy with the quality of this set and would order again!

I bought this to make an indoor herb garden set for my mom for Mother's Day. I liked this set in particular because it was simple and elegant, big enough for the herbs my mom wanted, and light enough for her to pick up and move around if she needed to. When it arrived, the pots were fine but the bottom tray had chipped paint all over. I contacted H Potter directly about the issue. They apologized and sent another set right away without me having to return the original one. The second set arrived quickly and was in great condition. I highly recommend these pots as they are great quality and the customer services is very helpful. I only gave it four stars because of the hassle of having to have it replaced and that replacement came after Mother's Day.

Great pots, slightly larger than most comparable items that I saw, which were good for the Trader Joe's herb plants that I bought (mint, parsley, rosemary, and a larger plant of basil). The drainage holes at the bottom are an adequate size, but I still put a single layer of rock at the bottom of the pots to improve drainage.I bought these in white, and they look great, they almost have a "golf ball" texture to them, and they look great with chalkboard-like labels. The only con is that they attract specs of dirt which are a little hard to wipe off, and these show very much on the white pots.Overall, I'm extremely happy to have found something a little larger than the other sets I considered, and at a cheaper price. This is a very pretty potter set in person. The 3 pots sit on a tray that is a bit larger than I guess I envisioned leaving more room between the pots than I think the picture seems to imply. This is not a bad thing - just an observation. The quality is excellent, the pots and tray seem to be fairly heavy duty without being to 'heavy' in weight. The color is just slightly off-white. The pots are larger (and taller) than I imagined which will be great for the herbs I plan to put in the pots.Overall I am extremely pleased with this purchase - this will look beautiful on my patio table!

I've had no end of trouble with pests in these metal planters. The problem is that metal is non-porous, and that means your soil is not breathing, compared to clay and plastic containers. The one small drainage hole is pretty useless, as when I put in a new plant and watered, it actually didn't drain until I pushed a hairpin up from the drainage hole (feels obscene doesn't it?), then a lot of water gushed out. I had to do that for 2 out of 3 planters to drain them.After planting, because of the poor drainage, my succulents were never well-drained, and the overly moist soil led to fungus flies settling in and reproducing like mad. I didn't realize what the problem was until weeks later, and by then I was so frustrated with fungus flies everywhere that I was ready to throw out all my plants - plants that were healthy in well-drained plastic containers and withered and died in these metal containers.Don't get these if you want good breathing and drainage for your plants. Especially, don't use them for succulents, which need a lot of air and drainage. Get yourself some clay or plastic containers - I know plastic isn't as good for the environment but I am so DONE with metal. Never again. These are going into the trash. I'm so sick of them I'm at the degree that I don't even want to touch them or have plants anymore - and I've had succulents for years, always healthy in plastic, there I am trying to give non-plastic a chance and boy was that a bad move. Go clay if you can.

This product is great. Each pot has a hole in the bottom for drainage, then the tray can catch any water or soil that comes out. They seem well made, and look really cute with plans in them. A word of advice though; the white is more of an eggshell color (meaning it has some yellow in it). While I was hoping it was actually white, and would have likely ordered a different color if I knew, these planters are so cute and look so good with my herbs in them, that they still get 5 stars.

Exactly what I needed and I received compliments on the planters from friends as soon as I put these in my window. I waited to post this review until I ordered additional sets :)
