101 Two Truths and One Lie! Math Activities for Grades 3, 4, and 5: 101 Daily Math Practice Activities for Elementary Math Students Paperback – February 21, 2020

First know that I am a special education teacher at a high school level teaching students experiencing a variety of barriers including disability, socioeconomic status, and being in process of learning English. I have been teaching individuals who experience disability for going on 20 years. All of my students have had a lot of failure around academics which has led to the additional complication of learned helplessness. These books are an awesome resource to help them push past these barriers in a way that leans on their strengths by making it visual and seem less intimidating. I have been using them for warm ups, challenge questions and "break" days from the normal curriculum to keep them working on their logic and reasoning skills (critical for life as well as math tasks) and keeping the math portions of their brains active. I started off with the free samples but these have been so popular and high demand that I have bought every book that is available to I have as much variety as possible and so I don't run out!

This is a great concept to motivate students to solve math problems and have engaging discussions. Topics and standards included! Great for all ages. Great for two truths Tuesday’s warmups, or exit quizzes after a lesson

I am really excited to use this product in my classroom. The math problems require critical thinking to solve and I am looking forward to listening to my students explain their choices. I plan to use these as math warm ups between partners, which will work in the classroom or even in a hybrid/distance learning platform. Also, there are three levels of problems in the book, so it lends itself nicely to differentiated instruction. Also could be used as an exit ticket!

I love the examples in the book! However, I am very disappointed that the pages are black and white and not as eye-catching as the front and back cover.

I teach middle school math and have been using this as a resource to help my students with problem solving skills. It’s also super helpful when we are in small groups having discussions to help students explain the “why”. Thank you!!!

These are perfect for math talks. I love listening to the students explain their thinking to their partner. Math talks are more meaningful and a lot more fun! Best part is the kids' reactions! Teaching math to exceptional learners online is challenging but interjection the challenges from these sources has been fun! They love to argue their answers to try and convince the others!
