This item had 4 stars on other seller pages and works great for me!
This item had 4 stars on another sellers page. ?!?!I have purchased two of these from another company on amazon who is out of stock and has been out of stock for some time. I use it for the one semi decent ear I can hear out of. I bought my first a year ago or so, and it was my 6th "sound amplifier" in less than a year. The cheaper ones all failed miserably. Some two to 3 times the cost of this one broke in less than a month. So with this one, which got 4 out of 5 stars on the other page that sells it, I wasn't expecting much, even with the high ratings. But I like it. The first lasted me 6 months. I'm not exactly a careful person. When it rains I shove it in my pocket. So I think I was rough with it, and it ended up with this high pitched, constant ring that wouldn't go away when it was on. So I got another. Now this second one I've had since December. It is now July, and it still works fine. But with these comments I must clarify a few things.- this is an amplifier, not a hearing aid. You get what you pay for.- ^ again, this amplifies ALL sounds which is that so called background noise. This means, fans, air conditioning, ice machine making I've at the grocery store, yelling, neighbours mowing the grass, ect. At first it can be a bit annoying but you get used to it. This is what you will get with ALL amplifiers because you are not paying thousands to have it be able to distinguish what you do and do not want to hear. This is something you must deal with, or go out and spend the money to do else wise.- never had a problem with the charge. You getting a faulty charger should not result in a one star. You should call and get a replacement. Sometimes we buy things that do not work. It happens.- this amplifies conversations, music, and tv just as it does everything else. So if the person who is talking is speaking louder than the fan blowing and air going, then you will hear it just fine. If they're talking like a mouse, then tell them you're deaf and to speak up.- my biggest problem Is what somebody once called the Charlie Brown hearing. The parents in Charlie Brown speak but speak gibberish, and that is my major problem with hearing. I can hear this slight low mumble of gibberish but not what you are saying. This aid works very well with that.- I was a cashier at Walmart and target and used this aid. Without it, I wouldn't be able to hear the customer. With it, sure, I can hear 5 other registers beeping, but I can hear the customer who is louder and my own register which is louder. And if you've shopped at Walmart, I can tell you, there is no greater background noise.- $40 for this is not expensive. It is one of the cheapest I've used. If $40 for hearing is expensive to you, then you shouldn't have internet to go shopping and b****ing on, and your priorities are not in order.- amazing allows you to return items that didn't work.- if your hearing loss is extreme, obviously this will not work for you. My right ear is completely deaf. This did nothing. Your problem is surgical, not an amplifier.- the little rubber pieces that you can change for size, fit just fine. If you're having that many difficulties with putting it on, then ask for help, or you may possibly have a defaulted piece where it was made too big or too small. It's designed to not fall off unexpectedly.- many of the comments are horribly written. As if written by a 10 year old. If you cannot speak correctly, even with minor error, then your credit for your 1 star goes out the door. Some of the comments I had to read a few times just to understand what it said.Sentences end in a period. That let's us know that you are starting a new sentence. If you cannot use a simple period, don't write.- this amplifier had 4 stars from my previous seller. I do not understand why the same product, from a different seller, is rated so low. But I also paid $15 more for mine. None of the comments are negative on the seller, but they are about the product.- this is rechargeable. That is a blessing. With others that used batteries, I went through a battery every 4 days. It cost me $1.15 per battery. That's an extra $100 or so dollars a year for batteries, not including taxes. That would pay for two and half of these amplifiers and you never need to change a battery.- if you are new to hearing aids or long term use of amplifiers, then be prepared for ear pain and possible rashes. This sucked when I first started using them. Your ear has to get used to having this on it and in it. I got a rash from mine and had to it use it for 3 days. But after a few weeks, I got used to it. Now I can't even feel it.My reason for giving this 5 stars is for the great use out of the low price. If you want to judge a $40 amplifier with a $2,000 hearing aid, then you're obviously an idiot. It is not going to be the same.Look up hearing aid or heading amplifier here on amazon and see how many are cheaper. And how many of those work better than this one.********If you write a review, do so based on the product, the price of the product, and non human errors (human errors -like a broken piece or not able to charge.). Do so knowing this is an amplifier, and will amplify everything, including background noise. I love this product. For the price, it kept me from losing my job from my inability to hear customers.~ PROBLEM, the only problem I have with this, is after a month or two, the charge doesn't last as long. It's not entirely horrible. But at maximum volume, it will only last me right now, about 7 hours. That's after having it for 6 months and using it on max volume, everyday, for 14-18 hours a day. Luckily, it doesn't take all that long to charge it. I wish I could replace the rechargeable battery. But it may be cheaper to just buy a new one all together. It lasts much long on lower volume settings, but my hearing is pretty bad.At max level, my husband put it in, and it hurt his ear because it was so loud for him. The tv was on a normal volume level. He hears just fine.

rechargable micron amplifyer
dissapointing,it didn't help my husband hear any better. we did as instructed, charged the battery, turned up the volume but he just l couldn't hear that much better. so a hearing test is scheduled to find out what degree of loss he has. the product does work ok, i think with severe hearing loss it probably wasn't the best option. most people probably might be satisfied with a milder degree of loss

Helpful Hearing!!!!
For the money spent it works well. My husband is completely deaf in one ear, he tried the hearing aid there with no results. He uses it in his one good ear. Now we can have the TV at a normal level (not movie theatre loud) and he doesn't yell. He can hear is all much better. The only complaint he has is that he can hear his own voice more than anything else. Overall I'm glad we bought it.

Piece of Junk
I don't know why some people gave this a 5 star rating unless they are just someone promoting the product. If I could give it a zero rating I would. Background noise, to say the least is a HUGE problem. Also, when you talk with it in your ear, your voice is so loud you can't hear anything else. I got it for my husband who is deaf in one ear, mainly to watch TV. He could barely hear the TV but picked up loud and clear everything else going on around him. Even with the TV turned off and nothing else going on around you, it sounds like you are going through a wind tunnel. He jerked it out of his ear and through it back into the box (along with a few choice words). Save your hard earned money and get a good hearing aid from a doctor. I am returning this joke for a full refund.

Rechargeable Microtron
This Microtron, does help to distinguish words much better. The sound is not all that good really, but it helps to understand what people are saying when voices are muffled or low. Recommend to people who can hear but not distinguish words.
