I chose this item after checking out numerous exhaust tips for my 2010 Chev. Silverado 4 door w/ 5.3 liter engine. The factory exhausts on these trucks are 2.75" in diameter so, based on the description, it looked like it would fit. It arrived quickly thanks to Prime, and I slipped it onto the tailpipe and it slid right on. Then I ran into a problem. The bolts provided that clamp the tip onto the exhaust were too short to allow the clamps to slip around the tailpipe. In other words, the supplied hardware would not work with the 2.75" exhaust. Being somewhat mechanically inclined, I solved the issue by buying three more bolts - unfortunately, the length bolt I needed was between the size provided and the next available size. Had to buy the longer bolts and then cut them to proper length with a Dremel tool. However, once cut to proper length, they worked perfectly and clamped the tip tightly onto the end of exhaust. I have not driven it yet, but do not expect it to change the sound of the truck - that's OK, that's not what I was after anyway. The rest of the truck is trimmed out with chrome (Texas Edition) and the dirty, plain, OEM tailpipe was lacking in appearance. Why doesn't Chevy bite the bullet, spend a few extra bucks, and put chrome tips on the exhausts, when the rest of the truck is tricked out with Chrome?!? In any case, I'm pleased with the purchase and appearance, which is what I was going after. Saved plenty of $$$ buying here, despite the difficulties with the hardware, compared to buying the Chevy brand.

Installed this on my 2005 Chevy equinox. It fit well and secure. Cleaned up the ugly factory tail pipe. Still had enough clearance around the bumper fairing. All you need is a 10 mm end wrench to install no welding required.

This is not a bad product--It is a true stainless steel metal tip....since real stainless is non-magnetic and will never rust. The bolts and brackets are regular steel. Problem is that the bolts are too short for using on a 2-3/4" dia. pipe. You can either buy new bolts OR grind down the brackets(3) to make it work.To save a trip to the store-- I ground them down and painted the brackets to prevent rust. All the diamentions are spot on as advertised for this product. 3A RACING needs to ship with longer bolts or with various length brackets to make this a NO-HASTLE product. It looks great once you get it installed!!!

I painted mine semi gloss blackk with high heat exhuast paint and installed on girlfriends car and looks great for a good price. Fits nicely and was shipped fast by Amazon.
