This was our first mold purchase. Bought it for 10 & 12 year old granddaughters to experiment with fondant. It worked great first time & was easy to clean. Will definitely buy more.

I was delighted with the Marine Theme and Tongker silicone seashell molds. They were incredibly easy to use. So far I have made beautiful seashells with marzipan and with Starburst candy. On inspiration I zapped pale pink Starburst in the microwave for 10 seconds, pushed into molds and popped out perfect shells. Brushed both marzipan and Starburst with edible white shimmer dust. For some seashells I used cocoa powder or a darker shimmer dust to add stripes and details. Today, I plan to experiment with chocolate. Made shimmering pearls from marzipan. Planning to make birthday cupcakes decorated with seashells for my seashell loving son-in-law. Maybe sprinkle on cookie crumbs for sand.

These seashells are nicely detailed. I had to use cornstarch quite liberally on my piece of fondant to make it release easily from the mold. It is a matter of adjusting the constancy of your fondant to make it release easily; not any fault of the mold. Would purchase again from this seller.

The shells are SO tiny. They appear MUCH bigger in the pictures, particularly the sample pictures of the cakes with shells on them (which are completely different designs than the actual ones in the mold by the way). Not worth the money. I would return, but I have to have the cake for a birthday tomorrow and don't have time to wait for a different mold to come. VERY disappointed.
