These gloves are junk. Misleading description
These gloves are advertised as "Level 5" cut protection, which one could (by design) interpret as ANSI Level-5 cut protection. They are not. The package shows "5 Star" cut protection, which is meaningless marketing garbage. There is no ANSI certification mentioned anywhere.ANSI Level-5 is the highest ANSI Cut Resistance rating that guarantees resistance to up to 3500 grams of force per inch of blade travel. These failed with less than 1000 grams, basically comparable to any cheap set of fabric gloves you can get at a hardware store.

I'm a daily quilter who loves this glove
I've been quilting and rotary cutting for almost thirty years and had never had a rotary cutting injury until last month. I sliced my left forefinger tip and nail fairly seriously while trimming paper pieced string blocks. It definitely got my attention and I started looking for protective gloves. These gloves appealed to me because they are geared to both cooking and crafting. I also liked that it was a pair of gloves and not just one glove. I've been using the left glove for over a week now- mainly cutting out a double wedding ring using templates. The glove is comfortable and I feel much more secure while rotary cutting. Tomorrow I'll be using the right glove while I slice a cucumber on a mandoline for rice pasta salad. How nice that both gloves are useful. My hands are fairly average for a woman. Size small fits me perfectly.

Tested by slashing and poking with a knife. Pretty happy with results.
Tldr; it's cut proof but not puncture proof. The grip material is standard material and knives will slice through it but won't reach your hand. Seems worth it. I'm a male and wear medium nitrile gloves for a tight fit, bought a medium and they fit about the same.It seems to be cut proof. Sadly I don't own a mandoline so I can't test that, but based on every other review for these gloves I'd test them first. I passed the knife over the glove as shown in the picture and no cure showed up on the paper and it didn't feel like it cut through the fabric at all. The grip material was easily cut through, but I kind of expected that. I then tried to puncture it and it felt like it stopped the blade but when I examined the paper inside I saw that it did like through. It definitely would mitigate some damage but you'll still be bleeding if you stab yourself. I considered giving it 4 stars but it never says it's puncture proof and I didn't buy it for punctures anyway. (I don't know if a puncture proof glove actually exists). As far as the fit goes I'm pretty happy. I feel like the ring finger and pinky have some excess material, but my thumb, index finger and middle fingers went all the way to the end. I wear medium nitrile gloves (for a fairly tight fit) large nitrile gloves are more comfortable but have loose material around my fingers. I bought a medium.Overall I'm pretty happy with the test and would buy them again for myself and maybe my dad. My wife wears a small and the thumb, middle finger and pinky have a lot of extra material so I might not buy her a pair.

Runs large
These must be made for abnormal hands. I have small hands and never have an issue with fingers being too long. These fit the palm but had an extra inch of material on the end of every fingertip. Had to return.

Use this everyday at work
I used this everyday at work and love it. The gloves initially will fit very tight but it will conform to your hand the more you use it. Offers very good protection to prevent cuts and abrasions. Plus at 10 bucks, it isnt bad. I used it during hot days too and it is breathable. The only thing I wish it had was touch screen capability but if you dont need to touch your phone when using these gloves, these are a very good option for you.

Fingers a titch too tight!!
I'm looking to replace the Kevlar gloves that I've used for years. The mfg quite making my size (small) and I need small due to the length of my fingers. These gloves work fine EXCEPT for the length of the fingers, too long!!!! It seems this is the same problem I have with every glove I try. Again, I would buy again and use these gloves IF the finger were a little shorter and a little narrower.

Keeps my Wife from burning, cutting and otherwise hurting herself around the house...
My Wife LOVES them. By them for Him/Her just for the heck of it. They will like them. Fit as stated.

Does the job.
It does what it claims to do but it gets so hard to handle things while cutting, veggies and the knife don't stay in as much grip.
