Q: Just bought this, paired it, but it keeps losing connection while standing right in front of the wii u console. What do i need to do?

I had the exact same issue with mine. It appears as if it may be an actual problem with the Wii U instead of the gamepad, though I am not certain of this. I ended up returning the pad to Amazon, since the cost of the replacement gamepad, paying to send in the Wii U to determine if the issue was with the console, and then paying to have it fixed (if that was the issue) would be about equal in cost to just buying a new Wii U. So i bought a new Wii U. Definitely was far from an ideal experience.

No, it did not come with a console and wires. It is only a replacement pad for those pads that get broken. My grandson broke his gamepad and we ordered this one to replace the broken pad. We used the console and wires that came with the Nintendo Wii U bundle I had gotten him for Christmas. I hope that his will help you. This gamepad is well worth the money. It has been excellent gamepad and is as good as the one that came with the Wii U bundle. It did come with the pad holder and a charger.

Q: Why is it 300 dollars you can get a whole system wth the game pad for less then 300?
