Great traction on ice and snow
The EXOspikes provide excellent traction for walking. At age 72, I found them farily easy to put on and easy to take off once properly sized. On a recent walk on an inch of fresh snow over smooth ice I felt completely secure. Their effectiveness became even clearer when I briefly walked without them and immediately began slipping. Sizing Tip: The Kahtoola sizing chart seems to reflect street shoe sizes rather than bulkier winter boots. Despite wearing a US Men's 10–10.5, I could not fit the Large (listed for sizes 10–12) over my insulated Merrell boots or my LL Bean snow sneakers. I recommend ordering one size up—the XL provided a snug, secure fit for my winter footwear.

Worth every penny!!!
So glad I ordered these spikes! I trail run 4 miles daily and the trails have been treacherous lately with slippery packed snow and ice. I was able to run my entire route with these spikes with no slipping, even on steep ice-covered hills. They fit my shoes really well - snug but not constricting. And they are comfortable on the footbed, unlike cheaper spikes I’ve tried. Wish I’d ordered these last winter instead of switching to my indoor bike trainer!

Great on slippery, icy, snow packed surfaces
I have only had these footwear traction devices for about one week so my experience with them is not a long time but I will say they work exceptionally well. I had other traction devices and these dig into icy, snow packed, and blacktop surfaces perfectly. These are much better than the others, that are probably more popular, than these but these work perfectly. I have had no slippery situations at all on our roads. The durability seems good, fairly easy to put on because they stretch. For safety I figure if they prevent any suffering from a fall or a trip to the ER these are worth it. Will buy again.

Great quality, and stay put
Simply the best for most winter hiking and snow clean up!

Worth the price
I gave this as a gift for a runner for the winter season. We kept the box, just in case they needed to be returned, but so far so good! We’ve had a lot of ice and the recipient has reported that they break right through the frozen sheets and help them feel confident each run. So far they’ve been used 6 times, a 2 mile run each in snow and ice. Even if they last 1 year through snow and mud I’d say it’s worth the cost - better than getting injured! Hoping they will last longer than that, but we will see. Happy with this product.

Sized very small
I have used the Microspikes for many years and they are my gold standard. I bought these for conditions where there are trail sections of ice and sections of dirt because they seemed less aggressive and more suitable for dirt/rock conditions. I have worn them four times. First and most importantly is the size problem. I wear a size 12 boot. The XL Microspikes fit great and easy to put on the regular hikers and heavier insulated winter boots. These Exospikes in XL only fit my size 12 boots after a big struggle in my living room sitting down. I left them on my boots for a few days to hopefully stretch them out a bit. This helped putting them on again. However, when trying to put them on during a hike, when they are cold and less stretchable, another struggle and I had to sit. So if you wear a boot greater than a 12, forget about getting these on. Come on Kahtoola, you need to made these in XXL. I keep them stored at home on the boots for continued stretching. Performance on ice was great. They dug in well and I had no slippage. I don't know how they compare to the Microspikes, which would still be my go to traction devices in severe steep icy trails without patches of dirt. They weight about one half as much as Microspikes. Durability I guess would be marginal given that the bottom is made out of a plastic type of material rather than stainless steel chain (Microspikes), particularly if they are worn a lot on dirt/rock sections. With these concerns, I would still recommend them for spotty ice/dirt conditions. Even if I only get one or two seasons use, it is still much cheaper than a broken wrist or hip. I don't recommend them if you wear a boot or shoe size greater than 12.

Awesome product!
This is a game changer for a senior! Where I live, the streets ice over and there is no way to get around it to get to a safe walking place. With these spikes, I feel completely secure. NOTE: the sizing chart is wrong. Go one size up for whatever it calls for. They will still fit great

Good fitting cleats likely will stay on boots
I have not yet used these spikes however, they fit over my boots and seem like they will stay on. They have good spikes and I think will work great in the ice. I will have an opportunity to test that in the next week or so.
