After my hair’s been washed and damp, I mist it on before blow-drying or ironing, and it does a beautiful job of protecting against heat damage (the label says it protects up to 450 °F). I like how my hair comes out noticeably softer, smoother, and shinier with much less frizz. It doesn't feel heavy or greasy (as long as I don’t over-apply), and it even makes combing through damp hair easier. The light, pleasant scent is a nice bonus. And it really seems to help preserve the health of hair that gets frequently styled with heat. I have fewer rough ends and smoother overall texture after repeated use. Bottom line: this is a simple, affordable spray that keeps my hair protected, smooth, and shiny even when I style with heat tools. I’d recommend it to anyone who regularly blow-dries or straightens their hair and wants to preserve softness and shine.

I give this L'Oréal Elvive heat protectant 4 stars. It's a very good product, and I always use it before blow-drying my hair, which is the only way I use it. I feel like it does its job. It smells really good. My hair feels noticeably softer after drying, which is a huge plus. If you're looking for protection from the heat of a hairdryer, I feel like this product works and would recommend it to others. The only thing that takes a star off is the feel. The product is a bit greasy (or heavy) if you apply too much. You have to be careful with the amount, especially if you have fine hair or tend to get oily easily, as it can weigh it down a bit. Conclusion: A good product overall with an incredible scent that really softens. It's a good buy as long as you use a small amount.

Your hair is SO soft and there is no stinkiness. It makes you feel like you spent a ton of money because of how good it smells, but nope. Perfect price and wonderful results. Highly recommend!

My favorite heat protectant I’ve tried thus far! Smells great and sprays well, protects against heat well, and hair color doesn’t fade as quickly. VERY soft and smooth hair after drying, surprisingly silky but holds styling well for both straight and curly styles. Hair feels and looks healthier over time (even a little after first use) and has even grown faster. Great quality and much better than the more expensive brands/products that I’ve tried. I wanted to love this but I feel like it leaves my hair feeling heavy and almost oily. To use up the bottle I am spraying it on my ends alone. If I apply to my entire head before styling, it is limp and I find myself adding dry shampoo to try and add body. It does have a nice smell. Maybe if you had very thick hair, this would be fine but seems to be too heavy for fine hair.

OK, ladies. Run to buy this product line. I’ve always had very fine hair. Typically doesn’t have volume. I have to use a lot of product to even get volume or to even have my hair stay after I curl it. This stuff works. My hair feels so soft and looks so healthy. You can actually run your fingers through your hair and the hair still stays. It’s soft. Before and after photos. The first photo was the night I used the product. The second photo was the day after. My hair still looks great. I wish I would’ve found it sooner.

I use my flat iron almost every day, so I bought this one and honestly, the smell is amazing and lasts all day! The effect has been great too; my hair hasn’t gotten damaged at all. You just have to be careful not to spray too much or get it on your scalp, only on the lengths, otherwise, your hair might get oily faster. I usually spray a little on a small section, brush it through to spread it evenly, wait a few seconds for it to dry, and then straighten. After that, I also rub a bit of hair oil between my hands and run it through my hair to make sure it’s absorbed well and keeps my hair hydrated. Been using it for about ten days now and I’m really happy with it!

Leaves my hair soft and shiny. I can say that it really protects your hair , i use the hair dryer and the flat iron almost every day and my hair doesn’t look damaged. I truly recommend this product.

Did it leave my hair soft? Yes. Did it protect my hair from heat damage? Yeah it did a decent job. However I can’t get over the scent of this product so I’ll be throwing it away. I’ve just it once and the scent is overpowering. It leaves your hair smelling like you’ve just been clubbing. It doesn’t smell floral. Instead smells like a combination of Chanel perfume and cigarettes. If I was young and in my partying days, I wouldn’t mind this scent, but now at this stage of life, I want a nice refreshing or calming scent that reminds me of a luxurious spa day.
