Childhood fantasies...
OK, so, confession time. I was never a huge Disney fan growing up. But, I did like Aladdin. Or more specifically, I was that one weird girl who was really into Jafar (no judgement, this review section is a safe space!) That weird 9 year old is now a rather 'twisted' 37 year old woman, ready and more than old enough to read all the smut and give into this, albeit, slightly unorthodox fantasy. So when I saw this book, I knew I had to give it a read, and boy oh boy, did it deliver. Spice galore, I was bright red in the face by the end of the second chapter (and as for Chapter 17...buckle up). I read it in a couple of days, fitting it around family life (hiding away with it, more like) shoving the book into the back of a drawer as needed, so incendiary were its contents. I will say upfront that the 'Daddy' stuff is not for me and I found myself skimming over the word when I saw it, but again, no judgement from this twisted commenter. In fact, it was kind of on brand. I would have liked the ending to be a little less rushed but hey, I wasn't reading it for plot...we all know why we're reading this one! And actually the ending was good! Go get yours, Jasmine!4/5 from me and my extremely hot and bothered self. This is everything my strange younger self needed to read once she was able to handle it.

A spicy little take on Aladdin. Can’t wait to read the next in the series. Good little quick reads

Good book
I checked this one out after reading Neon Gods (which I preffered) this was good but Neon gods was better. This is a smut version of the enemies to lovers trope. Set in the "aladdin" style universe. Jafar is her enemy and jasmine is the heroine. They end up forced together, and then Ali/Aladdin becomes the bad guy this time around. There is a plot along the baseline of the book, albeit quite washy but the smut isn't too bad. It's still a good, easy to read story and I do love a Katee Robert book

Risque
Jasmine and Jafar are the kinky lovers in this loose Aladdin retelling. While not a complete trash fest, there is a lot to be picked apart with the whole consent theme of this book. It is of course, very steamy but the opening smut scene, atleast for me was a bit much, no matter how much she claimed to want it.Its a short one so the story isnt particularly heavy and thats okay. It makes sense, the work towards it, the end.Theres a bit of F/F action which is cool although kinda random.I wouldve like more about Ali and Jasmine and Jafar’s relationship before the novel as i felt this could have added more to the emotional connection between them.

Delivered yesterday, finished in 5 hours.
I want to give it 5 stars, but around halfway through I remember thinking, I really hope there’s at least one sex scene near the end, where their sex is more intimate because they have created an emotional bond. It didn’t happen. All the sex was steamy and rough and not at all ruled by feelings or emotion. I enjoyed it for what it was. If there had been that one scene, the ending may have made more sense to me. Cause you don’t have rough, hard kinky sex 100% of the time with someone you love. You mix it up. The transition from rough and hot to more gentle and intimate would have made for a great emotional development.

Smut vs Slump
An amazing dirty twist on a well known Disney story! I was slumping hard after a lot of reading last month and this was the perfect book to pull me out of it! For a short book it had plot twist, drama and tension that keeps you reading constantly! Highly recommend for people who love reading smut and want a quick pick me up story.

Meh!
“I can’t tell if I like it or loathe it. It seems to be an overarching theme when it comes to me and Jafar.”This book took me on a journey and that’s for sure. This is my first read by Katee Roberts, it was picked as our hate to love read for book club and I think that was part of what nagged at me about this because it wasn’t hate, or even close to it. My storyline expectations were immediately thrown out the window and it took me a while to get into. The dominant and brat element was fun to read about, I haven’t read a BDSM relationship like that before. The actual storyline was alright. I considered adding this to my DNF a few times, it was predictable and then it wasn’t, it was boring and then it wasn’t.The writing style wasn’t my favourite. Things like, her feeling insecure because he only wants her as a pawn but then knowing half a chapter later that he feels more.. Ugh. No. It just got to be too much in that kind of way. Like it’s either one or the other.I might read the rest of them. But I won’t be racing to get to them anytime soon.

Wicked Villain
Loosely based around the story of Aladdin, it's the story of kinky villain Jafar claiming princess Jasmine, after overthrowing her father for his territory and riches. Sinfully hot sex scenes. Great twist at the end.
