What are the lumen ratings and run times for all 5 brightness settings?

The 5 brightness levels with the respective run times are as follows: 1200lm - 2.5h, 600lm - 3h, 240lm - 4.2h, 120lm - 17h, 60lm - 26h :)

Anyone having issues with memory function not turning on last setting? If left on lowest setting amd tunred off seems to turn back on highest setting?

No. No trouble. It is necessary to wait at lease 3 seconds on any setting before single click OFF, so the last illumination level is stored in memory. I give it 5 seconds to store the last setting. Getting impatient is probably the issue, as I do that and then cycle through them all to get back to where I wanted to be. Failing like that teaches patience. Then when turn it on, it detents to the last setting; AND, single click on low does bounce it to high. Same as if you press it and hold until it begins to cycle through the settings. I like it as one can keep it on low setting for immediate area and then single click to light up the worls like the second sun.

Anyone have any problems using other 18650 batteries with this headlamp?

It all depends on the battery used. I have some batteries that falsely advertised high mAh, and I charged them before testing in this lamp, and they actually get about as bright as step 3. One brighter than the lowest. My chargers show volts, and they were 4.2V FRESH CHARGE and that is the best they can do. The battery that came with it is excellent as far as brightness. Did not do an mAh test as have other backup batteries on hand that I tested that are true 3,000mAh. The ones that fail are longer (70mm) than the 3KmAh (67mm), but the 3KmAh kicks butt in this lamp and lights up the world. There is no contact issues inside the battery compartment with the weak ones. I think it is the Amp rating. I see some 18650s have higher amp ratings than others. Amps to me = power, as voltage without amps is never as good as same voltage with higher amps. For the electronics experts out there - I KNOW that watts is defined as power; however, I say AMPS IS THE REAL POWER. This experience leads me to believe that the people complaining about the lamp not being bright, and the ones about battery life do not get it that the battery, not the lamp is the culprit.

Is it possible to turn off the side facing lights when using? Thank you.

The power button's light shows the charge level and also allows knowing which brightness setting is turned on, there is no way to turn this function off :)
