I purchased this camera for a family trip. It performed great! The waterproof case kept the camera nice and dry, and the quality of the 14MP pictures was very good. The model I purchased also included an extra battery which came in handy. The only (small) faults I have with the kit are 1) it is a digital zoom, so the closer you zoom, the more grainy and pixelated the pictures will become. I recommend that you take pictures at full size and crop and zoom later. 2) with all of the attachments for the case, there is no simple handle. I ended up attaching it to the threaded end of a selfie stick.It made it easier to hold and aim 3) It doesn't have a carrying case for all the little attachments, chargers, etc. I used an amenities bag like the airlines give on long flights. I recommend you get a shaving kit bag or something to keep everything in one place.It is a great little camera waterproof action at an affordable price.

For the price it can't be beat. I've mounted it on my motorcycle helmet, handlebars, car, truck and taken a lot of good video. The Video quality is very good. Sound quality is mediocre because the mic is behind the waterproof case and there is no external mic input. That's OK for my uses. Other than that it works exceptionally well and all the gopro and fauxpro accessories fit it perfectly. TIP: Buy some extra batters and a two battery charger. They're cheap and you'll be glad you have them.

Takes great video and for far less than the namebrand kinds. Only downside is the mic does not pick up to good but I mainly bought for video so works great

I am really into those Go pro action cam videos. In fact I see a lot of such videos on youtube as well. I am a fan of action camera but spending on Go Pro on first attempt would have been not such a wise decision. It’s like all the possible shooting scenarios have been considered with their corresponding accessories.Camera Design---------------------Let me start by telling that the camera is very small. It is even smaller than my small iPhone 4S lol. It has a 2 inch screen to watch the video / pictures and operate the interface. Front has the camera lens which are not straight but slightly convex. This gives more field of view when shooting. This also gives that action camera video feeling when you see the video. Also you have things like “1080p and wifi” written on the front denoting the capability of the camera.On the front is also the On / Off switch which also acts as “Mode” key to change the mode between video, picture, Burst Mode, Time Lapse, Playback and Settings.There is a light also on the front which lights up when you connect the camera to power port / computer for charging or data transfer purpose. On the top is the main button to click pictures or shoot video, sort of EXECUTE button. The right side up and down buttons are used to navigate within the menu.On the left of camera is the MicroSD Card slot, MicroUSB port (for charging and data transfer) and the MicroHDMI Cable connection (cable not included).On the bottom is the battery compartment. Battery is removable.Do note that manufacturer has included an extra battery in the package along with a cradle in which you can keep the battery and charge it externally. I see this as a very good plus point so you can charge the battery outside the camera too.Usage / Interface-----------------------The top button is the one used to get into the interface / options of the camera. You need to keep it pressed for some more time. Else use the front Mode button to switch between various modes and go to Settings.Within the interface, you have (not in any specific order)--Video Resolution Under this you have 1080p, 720p @ 60fps, 720p @ 30fps, WVGA - 480p--Looping VideosYou can let vides loop, as in when memory is full, the first video is deleted and overwritten with new video.--TimeStampIf you need to have Date and Time or only Date in the video or nothing.--ExposureFor the more technically inclined, I keep it to default 0.0--Photo ResolutionSelect what photo resolution you want to take, max is 14 Megapixels and least is VGA. 640 x 480--Burst ModeNo settings as such, takes 3 pictures in quick succession.--Time LapseTo set the duration in Time Lapse photography between 2,3,5,10,20,30,60 seconds.--LanguageSet the language of the interface--Date and TimeSet them to get accurate date / time on videos / pictures.--Sound IndicatorIf you want sounds when video starts, picture taken and such.--Upside Down / RotateIf you want the video to be taken upside down. This may be needed in certain situations where you have the camera angled in such a way that it is better to take a rotating picture.--Power Saver / Auto Power OffTo turn off the camera automatically after some time to save power when nothing is being happening like video recording or so.There are many other such options, it has like 6 pages of options and couple of them actually repeat.Performance / Video Quality-------------------------------------As mentioned before, the front lens are convex and hence you will get a wide angled shot. This is the same with pictures too. I had set on 1080p and videos are pretty good and of decent quality. Also since this is supposed to be an action camera, I tested with lot of shaking and waving the camera when taking the video to see how well the image stabilization in video works. It did its job in an excellent way.You can even connect the camera via wifi directly to your phone and see the video in the companion app. It is a direct wifi connection not using your router so will work outdoors as well.The camera does get a little warm when using it which is normal and does not get uncomfortable under any circumstances. Overall I am satisfied with the video quality. Just ensure you use a good quality original and high speed (class 10) MicroSD Card. This is recommended for flawless capture.You can view the video and pictures on the camera itself and even fast forward / rewind them.Waterproof test---------------------This camera is rated as IP68 which means it is dust tight and is protected against prolonged immersion under water. I actually tested this on a small scale in my home’s washbasin. Check the picture. I kept it that way for a minute (using waterproof case) and no water went inside the case. It is really waterproof.Conclusion--------------Overall this is a fantastic value action camera and most gopro accessories will fit to it. The price is simply unbeatable. You can record without a battery installed if you like as well which means it could work as a dashcam if you like.Please keep in mind the video is GREAT but in order to post it here on Amazon it has to be processed and compression takes away from it sadly.Overall the video and audio look great and the cost is a lot less than a GoPro (depending on model I suppose).Love the LCD screen being there without the need for an additional purchase or any added bulk.Very easy to use via the camera itself or of course also via the free phone app although it is somewhat limited I feel. I have one for my GoPro that managed around 5 hours of recording!In the video I offer a fairly quick overview of the camera and what's included then we see some day driving inside my friends Abarth. After that you'll see some video from the outside (hood) of my Abarth so it shows the difference in sound.
