Scalp Massaging Shampoo Brush, Black

I bought these for my husband - he really likes them. He has one for his shower and one for traveling. I ordered two from vitagoods and one did not work out of the box. I was very impressed by vitagoods service as they immediately replaced the non-functioning unit.

I've used hair brush massagers in the past and enjoyed them, so when I saw this scalp massager I was curious to know if I'd have the same feeling or a bit different. This scalp massager is better than the hair massaging brushes and those manual spider-like scalp scratchers I've used previously. Now this massager is more like a vibrator just like the hair brush massagers, so the bristles don't move on it's own like a chair back massager would, but if you've tried a hair brush massager you will be able to tell the difference. The bristles are of a better quality for this vibrating sensation.The bristles are softer, more flexible, but still sturdy in comparison the the hair massaging brushes I've purchased. The shape of this massager and how it's supposed to be held allows for better ease when massaging my scalp.At first I tried it out of the shower thinking that using it in the shower would tangle my hair up and be a messy disaster with my coily hair. Although I did enjoy it out of the shower on a dry scalp scalp, it was better when I washed my hair last night in the shower due to my scalp skin being saturated with water. It's the same as having a body massage with oils versus dry, tight skin. The skin is more flexible with some form of liquid and the massage is enhanced with that additional flexibility.Overall this is a great quality scalp massager and the best I've used so far! The icing on the cake was that it was on sale here on the Amazon site and the shipping was fast! I was surprised since it was coming from California and I live on the East coast. I ordered it on a Friday and it was at my door Monday morning! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for scalp massager.

After a few months of use, the vibrator motor turns on less than half of the time.

When I bought this item I was very pleased but because I wanted to purchase three more (spares for me and as a gift for my Daughter) I went searching Amazon for something that might be a little less in price. Well I just received the three new ones that I also bought on Amazon and I was so disappointed! The lesser expensive ones were so poorly made with cheap plastic, hard bristles and I couldn't get the first one to work, the second one wouldn't open so I could put the batteries in it and gave up by the time I got to the third one! I guess I got what I paid for (LESSON LEARNED AGAIN)!!!!

I didn't think this would work wonders for my scalp but it did. I will be using it with a tea tree shampoo next time, to get the extra benefits of a super tingling massage on my scalp. It feels so good and my scalp is loving it....

Soooo relaxing!! I have thinning curly hair so I'm using it to stimulate growth...it's too soon to say that my hair is growing but just the massage helps makes me feel stress free and relaxed..great study item, no flaws.
