I got 6600/7000 Mbps in reading and 4600/5000 Mbps in writing, which is very good. Of course, the temperature and the PC specs affect the performance, but 6600 out of 7000 writing Mbps is very good for me, and the temperature is always between 30 and 40 degrees, which is perfect for the speed I’m getting. I used the Samsung Magician software to clone my old SSD, and everything worked easily and perfectly. I didn’t face any issues, thankfully. I set it to full performance mode, and it’s pretty much good and fast—nothing to say other than that. Go for the 990 Pro, the newer version of the Samsung SSD, if you want more speed. The price is almost the same, but for me, this is just perfect and all I need.

Replaced my TB SSD on a DELL XPS 13. I got write sector error when I tried to clone the disks so I formatted the SSD then repeated the cloning and it worked like a charm. I used the free tool DiskGenius through Windows PE. It took 45 minutes.

As expected , good quality very durable. I use it in and external enclosure, no problems. Just remember to partition the drive before you can use it. I'm sure you know that. Invest in a good external enclosure if you want to use it that way, it can get a bit too hot, need a good heat sink.
