Not a lot of products work very well at cleaning carpet fibers but this brush works extremely well and not with too much effort which is greatly appreciated. The bristles are soft but sturdy and of great quality.

I have utilized this brush for TWO YEARS on our carpet spots, stains, and even larger areas like 4 feet by 4 feet. We have 2 dogs and 2 daughters who love art, crafts, paint, markers, and accidentally leaving the pet gate open for our 82 lb Australian Cattle Dog Mix (rescue) to do his potty business on the carpet. This brush is an absolute champ. The bristles dig deep into the carpet to lift stains (when used with a decent carpet cleaner spray or foam). The bristles also lift pet hair, saving me a second job of raking carpet in that area. The stains have never returned. Additionally, there is enough space between the bristle end on the grip that my knuckles don’t touch the carpet or foam! The bristles are curling outward now from use, and I am here to be put a new carpet brush on my wish list. Excellent, durable, and reliable purchase!

I purchased this brush to work in carpet cleaner into my vehicle's carpet. For that purpose, this brush worked perfectly. It also worked well on my car's heavy-duty cloth upholstery, but I had to take care not to scrub too vigorously, as the brush's bristles are very stiff. When I used the same brush on my high/low 70's carpet, it did the job, but I had some concerns again about how hard I should scrub. Then came the Berber carpet, where with very little scrubbing with the Mothers Carpet and Upholstery Brush I snagged it. What did I learn? This brush, while very well made and easy to grip, should be tested out on an area of the fabric or carpet you plan to clean prior to committing to use it on a large area. It's tough! Too tough for some jobs that require a gentler touch. This brush could easily be used to scrub tile floors or similar jobs on hard surfaces, so if it doesn't work for you on carpets and upholstery, it's definitely not a throwaway item. Just know that it may take some time to find a brush or brushes that are 'just right' and not too hard or too soft for your cleaning job. Wow this works so well. Never used one. super hard bristles. I have big hands and it doesn’t slip out. Highest quality. Medium size could go bigger. Thick body.
