We have had this set for a year and still love it. We get so many complements on this chess set. It is well made. Even when our kids knock a piece over and it breaks, we are able to super glue it and no one can tell (since it is marble). Highly recommend.

Wow, it looks really good, maybe not as good for playing as simple wooden ones. But perfect as a design piece. Great for this price. Also I broke a piece and they sent me a new one free of charge! Recommend

No place to store the chess peices. Should come with some sort of storage.

Its quality is worth the money that you spend. When you're done using it or putting it on for display, you can store it in the black suitcase-like case that you purchase separately. The suitcase stores the chess board and the pieces securely. Regarding the chess board, you can also use it to play a quality game of checkers, through the marble checkers pieces that you buy separately. Currently, I'm waiting for their dark brown and fossil colored checkers pieces to be in stock on Amazon. According to RadicalN, it will take one month. The chess pieces that came with my purchase are artistically made of marble, like the chess board. The only problem I found with the chess pieces is that they break easily. When taking the chess pieces out of the Styrofoam cover, in the extremely well packed box, one of the pawns fell out and broke in half. I was able to glue it back together and it looks fine. It reminds you to be careful when playing with marble pieces on a marble board. As stated earlier, the chess board and chess pieces came in a well packed box. I want to comment on this, in particular, as a lot of the boxes from Amazon arrive beat up, or taped in a way where you can push the box open. RadicalN's customer support is also exceptional. Playing on a marble board with marble pieces make you want to play chess all the more and make you feel like you're driving a Mercedes. My experience, with the chess pawn piece that broke in half, makes me wonder why there aren't any granite chess sets...I think it's a stronger material and just as beautiful. I'm extremely happy with my purchase, recommend it to everyone, and hope RadicalN will make more marble home decorations available on Amazon.

It's a beaut! I love the weight of this set. Really nice pieces, very well made. I had to put the felts onto the pieces and some of them lost their glue while peeling the backing off however, they sent about 10-15 extras.

I've had this board for two months now and I must say it makes playing chess more enjoyable. The feel of the marble pieces in my hand, and the sound it makes when a piece is moved and placed again adds more dimensions to the game. Your senses are engaged. I must also say, it will elevate your standards. Using a plastic chess board will feel different. We have a plastic board at work and I don't enjoy using it. I keep thinking of this beautiful marble piece of art that I have at home. I highly recommend this board to chess fans.
