Okay
This is okay. Not enough weight on it, I think that it would be better if it weighed the least at 5lbs. Overall good

Not worth it, buy something else
This is bad. it doesn't work. I always look at the reviews before I buy, but since this had Gold's gym on the name, I thought it would be good. First it doesn't shake unless you shake it manually. In the video it looks like once you get it going it shakes by itself. It doesn't. It's actually clunky. The video says without music, they all have music. Luckily, I have Amazon prine and this was an add on item, so I didnt have to pay for shipping.

OH BROTHER! DID I EVER ASK FOR IT.
This will be a review of the 5 lb. version for men currently not available on Amazon, and hopefully never will be. This is Weider Gold's Gym inferior knock-off of the Shake Weight. And when I say inferior knock-off I MEAN inferior knock-off. It's noisy, clunky, does not move fluidly and is not quite large enough to accomodate both hands comfortably. It comes with a dvd that shows a few different workout routines that use the "shockwave". Problem one: all the recommended moves make you wonder if this gadget is of any use. I mean shouldn't they be emphasizing what this product can actually do and not a crazy aerobics routine? Problem two, even though some of the selections say you can watch a routine without music they all have music. Now here's a little tidbit for you on how I came across this product. I went to a famous national chain department store with the intention to buy something else. Saw this Shockwave on the shelf and dismissed it. They were obviously trying to push it because it was placed at eye level. Then by chance I looked across the aisle over to the left and down at below knee height were an assortment of Shake Weights including the adjustable Shake weight Pro for men. A product I've been curious about for some time. So I said to myself Hmmmm! Should I buy the Shake Weight or the ShockWave? After a moment of deliberation I decided to get both so I can compare and tell people of my findings. Let me just say even though the Shake Weight is twice the price it is TEN times better than the ShockWave. Actually the Shockwave isn't good at all. The Shake Weight gets alot of ribbing because of its suggestive method, but when used properly it will help you achieve a reasonable firming of the chest, arms, and shoulders. The best way to use the Shake Weight is to get mad and pretend it's someone's throat. One final thing I wanted to mention is, when using this contraption the sleeve-like plastic keeps hitting your wrists, to the point of scratching them and causing skin irritation

Gold Gym Shock Wave Is JUNK!
This is a total piece of junk product, returning mine. Please see Web MD's review of shake weights in general. They are not effective. The university study appears to be a sham as it is nowhere to be found and web MD finds no such documentation. Their take on it is that there is no range of motion and very little fat burn therefore it cannot give you the results it claims. All workouts involve dynamic inertia these terms are just marketing hype.Get your traditional dumbbells and use the tried and true methods to get results.Regardless of whether you believe that a shake weight is a good idea or not this one from Gold's Gym is junk and they should be ashamed for putting their name on it.I purchased the 5 pound model. Doesn't hardly move at all. At first I thought it just had some sand in it. If you push it manally you can see how it is supposed to work. I'm accustomed to working out am not small or weak and trust me when I say this thing is junk and does not move as it is supposed to. My advise don't buy a shake weight but if you must, buy the original.

Crappy
I purchased the the ShockWave along with the ShakeWeight also. The ShockWave is a disappointment. Gold's Gym usually make quality equipment, but they dropped the ball on the ShockWave. I am taking the ShockWave back, as i purchased both the ShockWave and ShockWeight from Walmart with the ShockWave only being a $1 cheaper than extremely better ShakeWeight.

Terrible
This thing is a piece of junk, I used the 5lb version for a week (~30 minutes of actual use) and it broke.
