Kinda cheesy sheath, but good hatchet

I am no expert when it comes to hatchet, but I am very pleased with this one.It arrived relatively sharp, but I just sharpened it myself on a whetstone. I was able to cut paper with it.I've used it on two camping trips, and I chopped a good amount of logs into kindling. The handle seems very strong, and the blade can still cut paper.I'm also a fan of its sheath. It is a nice nylon sheath that can attach to your belt, plus a small rubber cover that goes on the tip of the blade.I'm planning on using this hatchet for a VERY long time.

Great little work horse! This hatchet is amazing for the price, the only catch is the work you have to do to it. Once the varnish is all scraped off, the edge is re-filed, and a good sharp edge is made this hatchet will hold it’s own!

The steel, and heat treat is fairly good, only negative is the handle, they use some week punky wood but use it till it breaks and throw another handle in and you got a great little hatchet. The head alone is worth $16.

An amazing little axe that made me feel as if it were Christmas all over again when I used it! Sharp and very attractive if her creators had only used oil instead of varnish on her handle she would have been perfect!! Thus leaving nothing to be desired is more than can be expected especially from a stickler such as myself. Try her she is quite a dandy!!!

Its a toy for a Child

This is a great hatchet, it was to replace one very similar to it that I own for a long time. It is already had extensive use and is held up well. It’s also a great price. I would say that Amazon should do a better job not making it look like a hatchet while in transit and in the packaging. The delivery guy thought I was a murderer
