I've never used the one with almond oil. It doesn't smell like almonds (which is yummy), it smells like coconut (which isn't my favorite because it usually reminds me of suntan lotion - but it is very light so it is actually quite pleasant).

No, but I would suggest keeping it at a controlled temperature because extreme heat could cause this product to deteriorate.
