Sparkly illegal in Canada, this piece of velcro gets passed customs just fine...
Fits swords with a guard, or else it will just slide through...The history of why it says banned in Canada fascinates me.It's not especially high quality, though it's not badly made.

MUCH smaller than photo; doesn't work quite as advertised.
So, this sheathe is advertised as being made for several kinds of toy/practice swords/blades, but any sword with a hilt that doesn't have a hand guard (think katanas, or shotos, for example) is going to fall through the sheathe. However, if they have even the smallest hand guard, it WILL sit in your sheathe. But that also leads me to why I'm leaving a somewhat negative review for this product. The next and most important reason for my somewhat negative review is that pretty much nothing else except blades that similarly sized to katana blades will fit. You have zero chance at sheathing a broadsword or "ancient" Rome style sword with this product. We do have a bunch of those awesome hard plastic black katanas, though.Anyways, the next and last issue, which isn't as important as the previous complaint, is that it is very hard to pull a longer blade out of your sheathe. And any tall person is going to smoke ceilings, ceiling fans, dangling objects, etc if you use this sheathe in the house lol. I'm not dumb though; I know back sheathes for swords is absurd and something of fantasy fun and looks nifty. But I didn't expect it to be this difficult. This isn't my first cosplay rodeo. Heck, it isn't even my kids' first times. We are all super disappointed in how hard it is to get your weapon out.But not all is bad. The sheathe itself is made out of a nylon or nylon like material that will hold up to use so long as you're not dragging it around on concrete. I mean, these are 7.99. You can't complain about quality at that price, and these are much better than what 7.99 should get you. But, this also means that the potential for something to be poorly made, and that would be the strap that comes with this to keep the sheathe on your person. However, it isn't a huge deal and easily replaceable. It is also VERY thin and left marks on the kids and I that were closer to small cuts than they were to itchy irritation. Keep that in mind. Oh, and none of us are fat so we aren't like stretching this thing to its limit or any thing lol. No offense to any one; I've been overweight before and I know what it is like to stretch costumes out lol.TL;DR: Product is smaller than photo shows and it definitely will not hold most toy sword styles. Your sword must have a hand guard on the hilt to stay in the sheathe, as well. Quality is absolutely amazing for 8 bucks.
