Great 03-06 Mercedes E55 replacement (or any Mercedes supercharged V8... S55 / SL55 / CL55, etc)
This is the one you want if a) your old pump died or b) you want a better flowing pump than the stock unit. this is the newer unit that flows better than the one which came with our cars. I have this in one e55 and a Johnson upgraded one from Kleemann in the other... and this actually does a better job after multiple runs... cool all the time. If you find you're supercharger is turning off after a couple of hard runs, the pump is to blame... and this will fix that problem quick.Install is easy in the front passenger side... remove plastic covers, have 2 clamps ready, remove single screw which holds the bracket to the engine, remove the electrical connector, then clamp the two hoses going into the pump. Unclamp the clips holding the hoses, remove, and put the new one back. Use the clamps if you don't want to drain radiator fluid before doing... but you will still get messy... so have towels on the floor and a shirt you'll never want to use again, haha! Took about 30 minutes.

Great pump, high volume & quiet.
Fits in my jaguar xjl. Necessary to match plug in with mercedes pigtail. Old pump was not working at all. Definitely has more performance now.

Perfect replacement for my Crossfire SRT-6
Despite Amazon saying this isn't compatible with my 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6, it's definitely the right replacement for the factory intercooler pump, which is VERY prone to failure, even in low-mile vehicles like mine (23K miles). This upgraded pump is a direct replacement and not terribly difficult to install with basic hand tools:1. Jack up the front passenger side and block the car appropriately.2. Take off the front passenger wheel.3. Remove various fasteners to remove the front of the fender liner.ONLY do the following if the coolant is not hot. You don't want to scald yourself with hot coolant.4. Clamp off the input and output hoses so you don't have to drain the whole cooling system. Done carefully, you won't lose more than a few tablespoons of coolant. NOTE: If present, the small hose near the power connector is just a vent hose on the old pump. It isn't used with the new pump design, but it includes a stud where you can slip it back on if you don't want to remove the hose altogether.5. Disconnect the wiring harness.6. Slide the hose clamps up and disconnect the hoses.7. Unbolt the bracket and remove the pump. (NOTE: You may find it easier to unbolt the bracket before disconnecting the hoses.)8. Make a note of how the bracket and rubber isolator are positioned on the old pump. Transfer them to the new pump. It may take some careful persuasion to get the isolator off of the old pump. Dribbling some WD-40 or similar between the isolator and pump may help loosen it up.9. Installation is the reverse of removal. Once everything is reconnected, run the car to get the engine get up to temp and visually ensure there are no leaks. The preceding was written from memory and may be missing a step, but it should at least be very close. The new pump fixed my lack of power (supercharger basically shuts down when the pump isn't cooling properly) and should be good for the car's next 18 years.First pic here is the new pump. Second pic is the old one before replacement. Third pic is the new one installed and ready to go.

because the car drives much better with this new pump
Replaced this in my SRT-6 Crossfire prophylactically because I wasn't sure how well the stock one was performing. Apparently not well, because the car drives much better with this new pump, especially going up hills and passing! You'll have to jack up the car and remove the passenger side front tire, remove an access panel, and clamp off a couple hoses. But it's an easy job and takes < 1 hr if you have appropriate tools. Good price on this and quality part. Save the mounting bracket and rubber sleeve from your old pump (I sliced the rubber sleeve off and reassemble it rather than potentially damaging it prying it off). Thanks Bosch.

An upgrade.
I own a Jag XKR , at some point if you own one as well your supercharger coolant pump will peg out . This pump is what AMG guys are upgrading to , it’s a better pump than both Mercedes or Jaguar fit . Plus it’s a lot cheaper . For Jaguar you will need to get creative with the electric connection , but the pins and cowels are available from Mercedes and will cost about 20 to 30 bucks. This pump is definitely worth fitting , your supercharger will run a lot cooler.
