This little beetle more than met my expectations.( I have not used the scheduling feature.) Pros: 1. Comes with a cleaning tool, extra side brushes and an extra filter. 2.Works on my dark colored rugs. 3. Picks up lots of dirt despite random action. 4. Is able to dock despite obstacles.(see details) 5. Handles a threshold of about .75 inches, close to its limits. (Sometimes it takes more than one try, or will seem to be stuck, then clears it.) 5. Does our thick area rugs. Cons: 1. The dock station is very lightweight and is sometimes moved by the RoboVac when it tries to dock. 2. I could not see where using the Max power level on the remote improved the suction on my dirtiest area rug. However, after the 3rd running( and not using the Max feature) the area rug looked great and stays looking great. Have realistic expectations: There are things the RoboVac can’t do: 1. It won’t go under recliner sofas. 2. It won’t go behind doors, where dust bunnies hide. Solution: I use a long handled microfiber dusting tool to pull out the dust and dirt from these areas, then run the RoboVac. Tips: Be patient. It took 3 days and 4 runnings to see lots of improvement. ( but emptying the dustbin will convince you it’s doing something) Clear obstacles. We put a chair in front of our open vertical blinds and move the music stand. Preform regular maintenance and cleaning. Conclusion: I would gladly pay full price for this RoboVac. Details: I am 68 years and my husband is 74. Last fall we had a home remodeled for us and had “hardwood” floors put in throughout. The area we live in is quite rural and dusty. There is fine sand that’s tracked in no matter how entry rugs you have ( and I have quality ones everywhere). We have 2 tiny fury “non-shedding” dogs which drag in a surprising amount of dirt. I had 2 back surgeries in my 30’s and now my back doesn’t care for vacuuming. My husband helps, but quite frankly we just didn’t do it often enough. I looked into buying a RoboVac last year. I looked at the well known brand and decided that there’s no way I could afford that, and if I were to put out that kind of money I would want the reviews to be close to 90% 5 star. They’re not. So I explored other brands. Eufy ( whoever that is) came out the winner. Still, I didn’t pull the trigger. Remodeling and moving expenses were adding up and our retirement budget was stretched to the max. But, the dirt continued to accumulate in our beautiful home. I happened to be going through the flash sales at the end of October and saw this Eufy RoboVac on sale. The discount was substantial. I did not hesitate. I ordered it immediately. Due to doctors appointments and other obligations the Amazon box sat unopened for 12 days. Finally I opened it, attached a few pieces and charged it. Then I pushed auto on the remote and she started her random work. She was confined to the kitchen and living room and 1 bath area as we have a dog gate separating that area from the rest of the house. She ran for over an hour. I was pleased about the following things: 1. She easily handled our area rug and matching runner even though the design has some patches that are almost black. 2. Even more surprising was that it cleaned our “charcoal grey” entry rug by the sliding glass door. I was sure it’s sensors would avoid that! 3. My husband, who was a skeptic of the random motions, was pleased and sold on it when I showed him the dustbin after she ran. 4 She was able to dock , even though she had to go under a chair and make several corrections to make the 90 degree turn to the dock. We were unable to give her a six fit clearance as recommended, so I was very surprised. After the first running, the charcoal grey rug was not 100% clean, but now after several runnings, it looks great. This was a real eyesore in our home as this is the door we would take the dogs in and of and there was always fine sand and dry grass and this time of year dry leaves in this rug. Not anymore! Next, I carried her from the base to the master bedroom and set her to work on the other side of the dog gate consisting of the master bedroom, master bath, laundry area, a music room which connects to the living room where the dog gate is and an office room. This area was rarely vacuumed by either of us . We do have to move the old fashioned heavy duty music stand to the other side of the dog gate, otherwise she will get stuck on one leg of the stand. Again she preformed flawlessly. The first day we picked up the 2 thick bathroom rugs we use by the bed, but the second day I forgot, and she handled them great. We have 2 extra long adjustable twin beds in the bedroom which have several wires under them. My husband tied the wires up and we also put the beds up in the highest position for the legs and head. She does great with this area, too. My biggest complaint is that the base is very light weight and is easily moved by the “ beetle” when she tries to dock. We will have to come up with a remedy for that. I have not used the scheduling feature and I probably won’t. I am afraid one of two dogs would leave a surprise for her the one time I forgot to check. Running her with the remote has worked for us.

Hey folks. I bought this model of Eufy while on sale a little over six months ago, and have used it daily since. Thinking about buying one? Do it. No regrets here, and I wish I had purchased one when I first began thinking about it a year and a half ago. I live next to the Gulf Coast in Florida, and coastal living = constant sand. Fine, white quartz sand ends up in your home constantly regardless of how many rugs and floor mats you place at entranceways. Our home is completely tiled, and the powdery sand sticks to everything, so it’s a never ending battle keeping the floors clean. We used to sweep pretty much daily in the morning, and then use a hand vac around corners in the evening just to keep up with it. We also have one cat, a Great Pyrenees, and an English shepherd, so sweeping daily was necessary to keep fur from drifting into giant globs in corners and under furniture. After purchasing the Eufy, and charging it up, we no longer have to sweep every day. The eufy is simply fantastic at getting up all the pet fur and sand. Instead of sweeping every morning, I now stare off vacantly out the window while drinking my coffee, and the eufy sweeps for me. My five year old named our Eufy “Mumford” and we created a face cut out from a roll of white window cling vinyl (purchased the white vinyl window cling on amazon too- it’s meant for those Cricut machines) for the little guy. Mumford is now a treasured family member. For reference, my house is all tile and is about 1500 square feet. The eufy can clean our dining room, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and playroom on a single charge, but since it doesn’t map out the rooms, I do place it in one room at a time, and block it off or shut the door. It does fine if I don’t block it off, but takes longer to get the job done. Since I keep the common areas clutter free, it is no trouble running the eufy every morning. I have my kiddos pick up anything on the floor, and then we hit the button and go about getting breakfast ready. If you are messier, or have a lot of clutter in your home- a Eufy probably isn’t the answer. It can’t do a good job if it isn’t able to roam around freely to vacuum. It fits under all of our furniture, and maneuvers well around my oak dining tables and chairs. If your home is very large and multi level, and you don’t want to pay attention - you may want something that maps your home. Eufy bumps around haphazardly, and when you leave it on long enough and run it consistently, it does a great job. I do not run it when we aren’t home, and I do not run it at night when we are sleeping. The last thing I want is for one of the dogs or the cat to get sick, and then have eufy run over the mess. Eeew. If you have pets, don’t make that mistake. If your home is larger than 1500 square feet, you’ll likely have to clean different sections at a time maybe on different days or nights of the week. Customer service is fantastic. After six months of daily use, our unit had a malfunction. The bumper on the right side would stick, and our unit would spin constantly clockwise. I contacted Eufy, and they did some troubleshooting with me, and when that didn’t fix the problem, I was sent a brand new unit. They emailed me a free return label to ship my old one back to them at no charge. All in all this is an excellent and helpful product, and the company that makes it is reliable and true to the warranty. I know several people that own one and love it, and have recommended it to friends and family members. Buy one!!!!!!

I love, love, love Eufy! I have hard floors in all but one of my rooms. I have a shoulder that needs time to recover from pushing a vacuum cleaner and I hate the noise of my upright vacuum. Eufy is quiet. I don't mind hearing her run around the house doing all the work for me and the cats are OK with her, too. I have developed a routine of getting certain things out of her way so she can do her job better, like putting chairs up on the table, and the small accent tables on top of the coffee table, then I set the remote on edges, when edges are done, I put her in closed small rooms like the bathroom after emptying her dust bin. Our kitchen, dining room, living room and hall are more of an open floor plan, so I either let her wander on auto, or if I want to target a room like the kitchen, I either barricade the wide door ways with my recycle bins or I watch her and use the remote to keep her from wandering into the hall or dining room until she is done in the kitchen. She gets a little obsessed around the four feet of our rolling TV stand and if I catch her going back to it for the third time, I move it somewhere else or re-direct her with the remote. My house is 1440 sq ft, but I do not use her in the carpeted 10x 15 bedroom because that carpet has been shedding an upright canister of carpet fluff since day one and I suspect Eufy would choke.. She has no problems with the very low/no pile mats and small area rugs but I do take up the fluffier mats she might get caught on. She doesn't like the drapes hanging near the floor and won't approach them, so I lift those up when she is doing edges. It takes about an hour to do the whole house except that one bedroom - I empty the dust bin half way through because we have two cats and tend to get dusty indoors because I like to have our windows open whenever weather permits. She has held her charge the whole time. My only complaint is minor - on the remote the Room button and Home button are both little house icons and my older eyes could not really see the differences in the design so I had to learn and remember which house is which. The letters R and H would have been a good way to mark those little buttons, but I understand the design esthetics behind the little houses. I love the little brush that comes with Eufy - it works well to clean the filter and insides of the dust bin. I also like how easy it is to pop the beater brush bar out for unwrapping long hairs, etc. I cannot tell you how many vacuum motors I have killed and belts in vacuums I have burned out due to my long hairs wrapping around the beater brush bar- and how hard it is to access that beater brush bar in most vacuums. I meticullously clean that bar, the filter, the dust bin, and the exterior of Eufy before she goes back to her charging station so that she will hopefully outlive me and go on to clean the house for my heirs. My house is cleaner and quiter and I am not worn out after vacuuming the way I used to be. Thank you, Eufy designers - you thought of everything. Now, can you design a steam mop version of Eufy with a water reservoir for the steam, and reusable washable microfiber cleaning pads?

I avoided these things like the plague and thought there’s now way I’d ever waste money on one of those. We recently went to all hard floors so I was desperate for a solution. I saw a commercial for a roomba and thought I’d see what the fuss was about. The price for a roomba... next please. Then there was Eufy. A price point I was comfortable with. When this little bot was pulled out of the box I was excited to see what it could do. I attached the front sweepers, pulled the tabs, hit the power button and wow! This little guy went to town. First thing I noticed was how quiet it is. I couldn’t believe it, about like a microwave, maybe even quieter on auto. I had to stop it just to make sure it was picking stuff up. It was, lots of stuff. We have 2 chocolate labs and a pug so there’s plenty of hair and debris. It does a fantastic job at picking all that up. It’s so small it gets under all the furniture! How great is that! With all that dog hair it clogs up the bin fairly quickly. I imagine as time goes on it shouldn’t be so bad since it will keep on task much better than I do. I really like this little bot and I’m glad I invited “Nelson” into our home. What I like, super suction picks up lots of stuff. It’s so quiet that you could nap and not notice it. Even watch TV and it won’t bother you. Nelson manages to find it’s docking station every time so far. Speaking of, I thought I read a complaint about were you have to place the docking station, and needed all this room on both sides and front. Not so with Nelson, it’s station lives underneath a cabinet in our dinning room. It’s just high enough for Nelson to get under and link up. You can even see it when it’s under there. Fantastic so nobody steps on or kicks it and it can hide from the dogs. Also, it doesn’t seem to bother the dogs much unless Nelson needs to clean where they’re sleeping. A couple of bumps and they move without to much fuss. My 1 year old lab was a little curious but has lot interest it seems. What I don’t like, is the pick up bin is small. I guess that’s the trade off for having something so compact bit with my dogs and three boys, geez that bin has to be emptied a lot in a session. Maybe up to 3 or 4 times. It also doesn’t let me know when it’s full. Isn’t it supposed to notify or beep? 4 to 5 hours to charge, ooff. Needs a more robust charger I think. Overall this unit is the best and I can’t believe I waited to long to get one. However I’m really glad I ended up with Nelson, it does so much work. I really really like it.

I’m that person who scours the reviews before I buy something, yet never writes one myself. Well, here I am to tell you this eufy is really pretty amazing. So amazing I’m ordering one for my mom for Mother’s Day! It tackles the hair of 3 large dogs and does a really good job at it. Coming home every day to perfectly clean floors is incredible and I’m thrilled. There’s definitely a learning curve with usage, like picking up or moving smaller cords and charging cables. Also, soft throw rugs like those in the bathroom should come up because it can get caught up in them. We’ve had no real problems with it fitting under any of our furniture or getting over the saddles which separate rooms. Sometimes it gets stuck on the highest one near the front door but generally finds it’s way off it within a minute or two. It’s important to clean out the little dust bin and wipe down the filters after every use in order to keep it primed for the next run. The cleaning patterns are random and it can be frustrating sometimes since it’ll concentrate on the front rooms and never make it over the back of the house or vice versa but if we’re home we just redirect it using the remote control. If I come home and find only half the house was cleaned, I just send it out again for another 100 minute cycle. Only once did I find it didn’t make it’s way back to the charging base and that was because it was caught up in the bathroom throw rug. Also, sometimes if there’s a really bright sunbeam across the floor it gets confused, which is strange, but I just redirect it and that’s that. So, all good, right? Well, here’s the thing. I’ve had it for less than 2 months and I run her every day (sometimes twice a day) and the automatic timer stopped working already. It was set for 2pm every day and was working like a charm. Then I noticed it would go earlier or later and it wasn’t really a big deal until...it started going off in the middle of the night. Scaring everyone in the house and starting the dogs barking like mad. After resetting the clock several times it didn’t help and now we keep the button on the bottom of the unit in the off position until I’m ready to use her. Even with that annoying problem I’m still thrilled. Excellent unit for the price!
