The veg glycerin is the liquid... which works quite well. Being anemic and needing to take iron supplements, this is a lifesaver. It works for me in about 10 - 15 minutes tops. Don't strain, just bring a good book to the bathroom and relax!

I cannot get up or down on floor. Can I use it while sitting on toilet or lying in bed

Lying down is the issue. In bed should be fine.
