handy book, but limited
This is a pretty good book on some of the concepts with making shoes, etc. I especially like the spiral binding - great for using as a practical manual in the field. However, there is way too much of the book devoted to farrier competitions which is of little use to me and my horses. Overall a pretty handy manual.

Nice book
Just started blacksmithing and thought this would be a great read. It is a nice book that shows the basics just as described.

Thumbs up!
Well written book. Sets out in plain language the basic steps for shoeing a horse. Also includes some useful tips for more advanced tradesmen such as welding aluminium.
