WOW! ELASTO-GEL IS THE BEST!
Everything is positive about this wrap! I am mainly using it for cold as I am having a partial knee replacement tomorrow! My knee is constantly swollen and this has really helped with the pain! In fact I can wrap it around my knee & It has straps that holds it in place! Or it is large enough that I can lay it flat across both knees as I have arthritis in both. It stays so cold that after I do my knees sometimes I'll lay it under my back too lol I usually ice for 15 to 20 minutes and it holds the cold. I put it back in the freezer and it's ready in 2 hours when I'm ready for it again. I bought the size 9x24! It folds up nicely and comes with a storage bag to put back in the freezer. You must make sure it's sealed as they don't want it to get wet. I love it and wish that I found this sooner! I love that it has the gel inside and cloth on the outside so you really don't have to put it over a towel! I researched a ton of different ice/hot wraps and this one got great reviews! I paid a little more than some of the others but it is definitely worth it! It sounds like a great company where this is manufactured in the USA! Thank. You!

Perfect for many areas
I love this wrap! It’s soft and bendable, and conforms to back, hand, arm, leg, etc. It’s also nice and thick, and like a nice memory foam. My physical therapist uses this on me, and had me to buy one. It’s not cheap like most of them are. Most are like plastic and uncomfortable. This isn’t. It freezes well and is flexible and won’t be like straight ice in a bag. The heat also works very well; I heat it in microwave for one minute each side. You won’t regret this purchase. I have an elbow fracture, and it’s been so nice to use during my recovery. I can see me suit it for back pain as well. Buy it!

Hot & cold physical therapy wrap.
Physical therapyTechnicians used this item on areas where I had knee replacement done. Ice pack is made of a gel which does not get hard even at below freezing temperatures. This allows flexibility when applying this freeze, pack two swollen areas. Gell pack has a cover which includes two straps with velcro which makes applying of the gel pack easy to do. Comes with a ziploc type bag to keep moisture off of wrap. Note, if gell inside of covered gets moisture on it, gell will absorb moisture and end up destroying gel pack. Call and talked with representative about using wrap. She indicated that if outer storage pack is punctured, all you need to do is call them and they will supply you with a new ziploc cover. Will recommend this you and any of my friends

Weight bearing approved.
Great for weight bearing use! Try that with other ice packs and ya get a mess! Was awesome for my hip replacement surgeries and tail bone issues. Also awesome for knee, arm, and back. Decent for shoulder. Keep the plastic bag! Can roll or lay flat in freezer depending on space, flat seems to get colder faster?

Highly recommended
Recommended by Physical Therapist. It has high quality, heavy gel that truly stays cold for the time I need to wrap and treat aching joints.

elasto-gel hot-cold wrap
I purchased this specific product having already tried it out at physical therapy (in the 9" x 24" size). It can be placed in the freezer for cold use; it stays flexible, unlike many of the smaller square cooling products that end up like an ice cube brick (those are best used for keeping food cold in styrofoam containers). The elasto-gel attaches (for me at the knees) with velcro straps (while you are lying down, you can't conveniently walk around with it on your knee). At physical therapy, they put a triangular pillow (at home a regular one will do fine) for added comfort.I bought two of these (one for each knee). I also tried the product in its warm configuration (sticking it in the microwave) with the thought I would use it on my back--it was like handling spaghetti--not helpful--you might as well use a heating pad for warmth even though those darned things mean an electrical plug limits placement. Save the elastro-gel for cooling. If someone has a suggestion for warm use that's easier than my effort, please advise in a comment.Overall: if you have chondromalacea of the knees, knee sprain, or you just worked out really hard, then this is an excellent product for relieving pain with a cold compress that is clean, easy to use and encapsulated so that melting is not an issue. Read the instructions, however; don't wash or wet the exterior. At physical therapy, they place a white cotton cloth around the knee for sanitary purposes, as they are re-using the item from patient to patient. If your doctor prescribes RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation) for an injury, this is the way to go.Notice that this item comes in several sizes and configurations, so order to suit your needs. I got the rectangle that duplicated what was used at PT, but your needs may be different.UPDATE: In a recent fall over contractor material, I injured both my knee and hip; 24" will cover the entire length with cold to reduce swelling. Remember RICE to reduce swelling: REST, ICE, COMPRESSION (bandage or compression hose), ELEVATION.
