Was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to use! Have avoided some pruning because of the size of branches that I couldn’t cut using my wonderful ratchet hand pruners and ratchet loppers. I expected that I would not have the strength to cut through 4+ inch branches without difficulty. I’m a 74 yo woman gardener who hates relying on others to assist with the jobs that are too large for me to do. I’d rather do it myself, thank you! But my vitex chaste tree branches had gotten too thick and I didn’t want to wait on my usual tree trimmer. I was pleased with the price of this little hand saw and how easy it was to use! I also purchased a slightly larger similar folding saw thinking it might be needed w larger branches but it had a slightly thicker blade. I had assumed that would make cutting through the larger limbs easier. Wrong! Tried it with one branch and it was significantly more difficult. Couldn’t cut easily at all so quit after a brief attempt and tried this one. This one so easy! So the larger saw going back. This is all I need! I’m so happy with it! A great value!

This saw worked fine on the tree branch that was too thick for clippers. It is a little hard to release the lock to open it, but when it is finally open and in locked position it works well. The blade is serrated and sharp enough for cutting 2-3 inch tree branches. I haven’t tried anything thicker than that. It works well for my needs in my patio garden.

Good saw to keep in the truck. It isn’t amazing but perfect when needed for the price

...but not very durable. The locking/folding mechanism on mine broke with moderate use.

As with any saw, the back stroke is the power stroke. That said, this thing is sharp and it cuts through dry or green branches with ease.It locks closed and open which is a nice feature. The weight is just right. Not to heavy and not flimsy.My only complaint is there's enough play in the blade when unlocked that it can catch on the handle either side of the groove so you have to help guide the blade closed.

I’m attempting to clean out a home I’ve lived in for 37 years. All that time there were left over pieces of crown molding, chair rail, baseboard. I decided to chop them up and throw them out. I didn’t have a big saw, saw this and it did the job. It’s small enough to fit in my tool box.

I didn't think to check the weight. I probably would have searched for a lighter one if I had. It weighed 8.5 ounces on two of my scales. Nevertheless, I will use this backpacking on occasions where I expect to build a shelter or where it is legal to have a fire. I also might trim some trees in they yard if I have to.
