Amazing release featuring the music of an amazing artist Peter Green
This concert covers the music of Peter Green in a most wonderful way, being a big Peter Green fan from back when he was a part of the band he started. By the way if you like the music in this concert pick up the 3cd set of In The Beginning of Fleetwood Mac also the cd Then Play On which features one of my favorite Peter Green songs Oh Well Parts 1 and 2, part 2 will blow your mind. Growing up in the Philly PA area the local station would play Fleetwood Mac and yes play Oh Well both parts. Ok back to this release, I get the feeling the Mick Fleetwood thoroughly enjoyed playing this music again, he is featured on drums throughout. So many greats showed up to pay tribute to Peter and did an amazing job. The first act is full of some really nice numbers and played very well but for me it was the second act where things start to really happen and they play some of my favorites. It start with Man of the World and then moves on to Oh Well both parts with David Gilmore doing a most wonderful job on Part 2 which is played for the first time in concert, Fleetwood Mac never got to play the second part. Black Magic Woman shows up a little, later so many people think that this is a cover of a Santana song when in reality Santana's is a cover of a Fleetwood Mac song. Towards the end of this set and the concert The Green Manalishi and Albatross are played Kirk Hammett appears on them playing Peter Green's cherish Les Paul which he now owns, what a wonderful touch to an already incredible concert. Pick this up it has 2cds of the show a Blu-Ray of the concert. It is housed in a hard back book with pictures and a couple of essays to complete this release. Another note this concert took place the day before the world shut down including all concerts due to the Covid situation. I love this release and Mick did a wonderful job pulling it all together, thank you for that.

Amazing Tribute Concert by Amazing Musicians!
I was a huge Fleetwood Mac fan without ever knowing about their early blues work. I discovered Peter Green about 3 years ago after buying an old "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" album just for fun. He has quickly become one of my all-time favorites. Peter Green has left us an incredible body of work we can enjoy forever. I watched this concert on NUGS.com a couple months ago and was blown away. Now I OWN the video of the concert - and 2 CDs too. What a lineup of truly great musicians to honor Peter Green, who was one of the best blues players ever! I will be watching this amazing concert over and over again.

Good show, Fleetwood toasts Peter Green and the first Mac
I put the BluRay in the player with moderate expectations. None of the great contemporary guitar hero rivals were on the bill (Pete Townshend is kind of his own category but I'm thinking Clapton, Beck, Page, even Mick Taylor or Trower). But it's a very well rehearsed program with some real highlights. Fleetwood is an avuncular and occasionally emotional MC and has his moments pounding the skins as well. There aren't many singers able to top Greeny's original vocals but Jonny Lang comes close on the obscure "Sandy Mary" and Noel Gallagher is quite a surprise in his "unplugged" set. Townshend is still a show-biz AND musical master as he fetes Danny Kirwan on "Station Man." Kirk Hammett takes "Green Manalishi" to the territory Green explored in his live versions (using a genuine talismanic Greeny Les Paul according to Fleetwood). Less a highlight but still amazing is 86-year-old John Mayall singing "All Your Love" even if it's more Clapton-era BluesBreakers. And Jeremy Spencer's slippin' around on the bottleneck is another highlight, a little Elmore James tribute with 83-year-old Bill Wyman playing the electric bass underneath. My list doesn't include all the tunes or all the guests or all the fun.

Very good album
This a very good interpretation of Peter Greens work. Allstar line up of musicians. I wish some of these songs went on longer but I am sure they were limited in time and also being about PG and not the musician performing.

Great Blues & Rhythm music
I am among the many fans of Peter Green's guitar playing and excellent songwriting. Both the concert film and C.D. are very well done. Highly recommended!

Mick Fleetwood | & Friends Celebrating the Music of Peter Green 2CD+BD | 30.04.21 | Kein AutoRipAm 25. Ein weiteres Highlight ist Billy Gibbons kribbelndes „The Green Manalishi (with the Two Prong Crown)“. For me, and every past and present member of Fleetwood Mac, losing Peter Green is monumental! Peter was the man who started the band Fleetwood Mac along with myself, John McVie, and Jeremy Spencer. No one has ever stepped into the ranks of Fleetwood Mac without a reverence for Peter Green and his talent, and to the fact that music should shine bright and always be delivered with uncompromising passion!!!Peter,I will miss you, but rest easy your music lives on. I thank you for asking me to be your drummer all those years ago. We did good, and trail blazed one hell of a musical road for so many to enjoy.God speed to you, my dearest friend...Love Mick FleetwoodWow, da kämpft man schon mit den Tränen. Hier müsste man 6 Sterne vergeben dürfen. Amazing cd and bluray.
I was at this concert last year just before everything shut down due to Covid. It was an amazing night and I am so glad that this was the last concert that I attended. Fast forward a year and this is the perfect souvenir from the night. It comes in the form of a book with a lovely narrative from Mick Fleetwood and with a bunch of photos from the night. There are 2 CDs containing the soundtrack, as well as a full Bluray film of the night. I really recommend this to anyone who is a fan of Peter Green and early Fleetwood Mac, or even just a fan of blues music. You just can't beat the lineup that Mick Fleetwood has managed to put together here, its every bit as good as it looks on paper. Also, if you were there you simply have to own this!

Fantastic tribute to a great musician
Peter Green was a fantastic guitarist, singer and songwriter and a very decent human being as well. It is great to see so many talented musicians turn up to pay tribute to him while he was still alive. There are so many great moments on this blu-ray in fact nothing I didn't enjoy but the real highlights for me were Billy Gibbons and Kirk Hammett and the band doing a great version of the Green Manalishi KH playing Peter's original Les Paul (which Peter had given to Gary Moore). Dave Gilmour is superb on Oh Well (Pt 2) apparently never performed live previously, Rick Vito's contributions are all really good.It is great to see former bandmates Jeremy Spencer, Christine McVie and John Mayall and Noel Gallagher proves he is a fan. Thanks to Mick Fleetwood for organising this tribute to his great friend and it is definitely a good idea to do it while the recipient is still alive.Peter Green was very influential Carlos Santana being an early example but it appears that even the Beatles were impressed and influenced. BB King was always a fan and it looks like Pink Floyd/Dave Gilmour as well as many others were also fans.

Thoroughly entertaining blu ray with great performances by first class musicians superbly presented
I was quite surprised by how much I enjoyed the blu ray (I don’t play CD’s anymore). If I were to nit pick Dave Gilmour (who I greatly admire) turned Oh Well Pt 2 into Wish You Were Here. I have one main complaint though. Kirk Hammett appears by virtue of owning Peter Greens original Gibson Les Paul. He owns it because someone needed the money more than he does, which is fine. However the only reason it went on the market in the first place is because the great Gary Moore passed away. Gary, who was gifted the instrument by Peter Green many years ago, put many great miles (and battle scars) on the instrument. I would guess more than anyone else ever will again. He also made some great blues as a tribute to Peter’s music. Yet he didn’t get a single mention either by Mick or Kirk. A clear acknowledgement of Gary Moore and his work was thoroughly deserved. Maybe they will one day realise this and put it right.

Oh this is soooo good.
Loved Nick Masons Roundhouse tribute gig for Syd on similar 2 c.d./visible content & this is equally brilliant. In fact would only have been bettered if was 2 gigs, one here with just Brit guests and one in U.S. with even more like Carlos Santana plus Haim whom knock out a great cover. As it is though, in cannot be faulted for the performances, Rick Vito impressed me from the house band, Billy Gibbons was immense, assisted by Steven Tyler. Then Ms McVie was perfect, Jeremy Spence sublime. Am sure there will be gripes from those whose favourite track isn't included but for me 2 hours and 25 mins including a brief intro, of pleasure. As for the hard back cover, all is held in it apart from a card that appears to be an after thought, with a black and white photo of Peter and a tribute from Mick on the reverse. Excellent notation inside , starting with the house band, then onto the guests. Shame discs held in those hard to get them out without a struggle tight cardboard fronts. Wasn't a the gig so not sure, but sleeve lists 13 tracks in part one, but last track is electric after a 6 man acoustic set, so think that was start of 2nd set. A couple of F bombs from Noel and Pete but otherwise a safe watch and listen. Oh and forgot Dave Gilmours Oh Well part two and Albatross reminding us of his skills.
