Does it pump up the volleyball if the pressure is too low?

It does not. I had an all in one digital pump/gauge from Molten that failed after 4 years. I couldn't justify the new price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/322116878960?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true. This one works quite well. Turn on first, put in ball and read pressure. It turns off automatically and quite quickly.
