does this hold position well under high force braking? i've got load cell brake pedal and wondering if there's any play in the seat, or if it holds.

It holds quite well for me. I have the Thrustmaster TLCM pedals and it hasn’t moved on me yet and I’ve been using it for over 6 months now

Not much room left to mount a handbrake...

It is easy to fix to your Playseat and gives a very solid support to your gearshift. The color is slightly off compare to the seat's black powder coated finish. The shape of the horizontal plate should be more rectangular so it would give you an extra option to fit your rig with a handbrake if you wish to do so. It does the job of course. It should go the extra mile to deserve a five star rating.
