These are great! I ordered 2 sets. We keep finding new ways to use them. Canopy, tent, tarps, guy ropes. We don’t always drive them in the entire length. I made covers of capped 1 1/4” x 6” pvc pipe as visual markers to pop over any protruding length not driven in. All ten tents and canopies should come with these IMO.

These stakes work as advertised for light duty tenting and tarps. If you are facing heavy winds or snow though, go with the stakes that screw into the ground instead.

These stakes are the real deal. Made of steel and come 16" long with a point. No more broken or bent aluminum stakes. In hard ground you will need a hammer to put them in and lots of grunting trying to remove them. These are not hiking stakes unless your camping in really bad weather or lots of snow.

They do appear solid and will likely do the trick. But the protective "cap" that is pictured in the ad is not a cap at all. It is just an open ended sleeve that lets the tip poke out such that it provides only slightly more protection than the ones that arrived entirely split open providing zero protection.

These stakes are the perfect length at 16” for making sure that your tent, tarp, or other will stay in place. I have used these in 40+ mph winds and my tent never moved. I use them for winter camping and summer camping with a 4 x 4 meter tarp and a Snowtrekker 8 x 11 foot tent. They are a bit heavy, so not ideal for backpacking. But if your car camping, winter camping, canoe camping, or other, they won’t let you down.
